He wakes to the smell of food, back aching from the hard couch he's spent the night on. It takes him a moment to recall where he is, but he quickly recovers and sits up to yawn and rub his eyes cutely. He's not even sure if Hoseok is watching, but if so he has to keep his act up. Vs gaze travels around the room, and upon realizing that it's empty, he stands to his feet. He shuffles into the kitchen, already forcing a small grin "wow~ something smells amazing!" Hoseok glances over his shoulder at him, flashing a dazzling smile "thanks! I hope you like pancakes and eggs..." Vs grin widens "of course! I mean, who doesn't?" Hoseok chuckles, turning around and placing a few pancakes each on two plates, along with eggs "that's a good question. I don't know anyone who doesn't like pancakes.." V takes his seat beside Hoseok at the counter, dumping syrup onto his stack of pancakes with a childish grin. The act is only about half pretend because V has always had a soft spot for pancakes. The two eat in comfortable silence, and V only breaks the comfortable atmosphere once they've both finished eating by asking "so.. Do you have a job?" Hoseok stands, gathering their dirty dishes and walking to the sink while answering the blonde "yeah. I teach at the dance studio from last night, but I work at a coffee place nearby full time, I'm a manager there." V nods thoughtfully, smile falling as he asks nervously "what happens now? I-I don't have a job or anything.." Hoesok waves it off, walking past the shorter with a nonchalant tone lacing his voice "I told you, you're welcome to stay here as long as it takes you to get back on your feet." V feigns a guilty gaze as he stares down at his hands with a whisper "but I can't just sit around here and not help out... There's got to be something I can do to pay you back?" Hoseok taps his chin on thought for a moment before smiling a little "well if you really feel that way... You could just help out with cooking and cleaning maybe? Because I have long shifts and most of the time I can't clean up.." V nods excitedly, smiling widely "sure thing! Just leave a list of what needs to be done!" Hoseok nods, smiling in relief before snatching a piece of paper, and pen, hurriedly writing down a list.A few minutes later and Hoseok is exiting the apartment with a smile and farewell "I'll be home tonight, I'll bring some food! If you need anything call me or Yoongi hyung, both of our numbers are on the fridge!" V waves, childishly innocent grin in place until he hears the front door click shut. In an instant the entire facade falls, and he stands a little bit taller, shoulders straightening out. A sigh of relief escapes the demons lips at the release of his act. He doesn't have to act like a small vulnerable kid right now, and he decides to make the most of his time by snooping around. He slowly walks over to the fridge, examining the short list Hoseok has left stuck to the door entailing his hosts cell phone number along with someone named Yoongi, and nine digits beside his name. V narrows his eyes, absorbing every detail about the note. Hoseok's handwriting is now locked in his memory for later use, and he decides that whoever Yoongi is, he must be close to the dancer given that Hoseok left his number for emergency use. Hoseok trusts this guy, he thinks before committing the name to memory as well and opening the fridge. He quickly scans over its contents and commits it to memory- knowing Hoseok's eating habits and favorite foods will help in creating common interests later on. After snooping through Hoseok's fridge he moves on to the cabinets, eyes scanning and memorizing every can and box. Sighing he closes the last cabinet and stands, stretching his arms high above his head and staring up at the ceiling. His eyes suddenly narrow as he realizes that he's going to show up any day now to try leveling the score from last time. He growls at the thought of him screwing everything up. He's got to ensnare the dancers heart and trust- and quick. A certain angel will have caught wind of his plan before the week is finished.
Growling in irritation yet again, he moves to the main room and flicks the tv on, snooping through Hoseok's Netflix list to determine the kind of shows he likes. The list doesn't hold much- despite the user information which states Hoseok's had Netflix for over a year. V analyzes this as either; Hoseok is too busy to watch tv, just has very picky taste, or he doesn't have interest in much. V quickly eliminates the first two because yes, Hoseok is busy, but not that busy, and the second one because Hoseok's taste in food screams anything but picky. The man has a little bit of everything in his pantry. V determines that it's likely the third option- which is excellent in his opinion. Loss of interest or limited interest is a clear sign of depression. A smirk graces his lips at that thought, Hoseok secretly struggling with depression will make his job oh so much easier. V quickly shuts the tv off and instead searches through the entertainment centers cabinets and observing the different pictures decorating the walls. There aren't many- mostly photography and obscure art but there are a few family portraits showing Hoseok, his mother and father, and who V can only assume is a younger sister. The four people seem to be smiling but there's a sadness behind Hoseok's eyes in nearly every picture. Vs brows furrow in slight confusion at the odd occurrence and he continues to stare at each one in hopes of realizing something grand about Hoseok's family.
