Upon hearing a beep from my phone, I glanced down to the device in my hands. It was a text from my friends asking to go to library to catch up. I shook my head to get away from the dream that haunted me for the past few weeks. I mean spiders are creepy and that big one in my dream. I shuddered at the mere thought of it. I couldn't take it much more. My phone beeped again demanding my attention.

Smiling to myself I answered the text quickly as I could with the amount of texts my friends had been sending me during my day dream. I chuckled to myself as I made my way to the meeting spot that we had set for the holidays. It changed each one but it was always worth it considering who my friends were. As I walked I listened intently to the crunching of the leaves under my boot as I walked. It was peaceful to me. Weird I know but to me it was a calm reminder of normality in my life.

I mean with all the weird dreams and feelings I had lately this feeling o formality was the only thing that kept me sane. I mean my friends weren't going to. They were just as weird as I was and that was what made them the best. I chuckled to myself as I watched the man walking behind me. I knew he was tailing me. I mean how many crimes shows does a girl have to watch before she knows that a strange man following her is a tail. He wasn't the nicest looking guy and the smile was the creepiest thing I had seen since Tia's dad had popped around for a visit on his motorcycle.

Rushing up the steps of the library I dared not look back towards the man that had now stopped at a bench near the library. I shook my head as I walked into the library to clean my thoughts and smiled awkwardly towards the librarian. She waved at me before I started off towards the normal spot that my friends and I gathered at during this break. It was going to be a long six weeks and then we'd be in our final year (or that's what we thought...). Running my fingers over the spines of the books I felt at ease in the library before sitting down on the couch waiting.

Allowing myself to relax I became very aware of a spider in the corner of the room that I was sitting. It looked at me and blinked a few times. Wait how on earth could I see that it blinked at me. Never mind that it had started to dash across the roof towards my position on the couch. I couldn't believe it. the spider queen in the dream had mentioned something like this. I couldn't handle this so I got up and moved to another couch hoping that the spider would get the hint. Wait could spiders even understand that? That was a good question. I stared at the spider willing it not to follow me.

Just after I had sat down I spotted a blob of green running towards me. I moved out of the way and there was Tia. She had crash landed into the chair and was now glaring at me like I was demon ho had risen from hell or something. I shrugged my shoulders at her with a huge amount of exaggeration. I was clearly not in the mood. The spider from before had winked at me. I was still confused about that. I was still frowning as she glared at me. Honestly it didn't faze me because she did this all the time. I mean let's be real here. She's like my best friend and I wouldn't change a thing but the number of times she had glared at me was ridiculous and of course by now I was going to be immune.

When she sat up and after she had started mumbling under her breath. Her shoulder length hair now being a bright green sort of shocked me a bit. I had to blink a few times to make sure it could still actually see and I wasn't dreaming the absurdity of the colour. I really like the blue colour in her hair. Her beautiful bright brown eyes were still glaring at me and she pulled out her phone to show me some picture of the recent concert she had been to. We sat there for ten minutes laughing and telling each other our recent adventures with other families before the next person in our little group decided to show up. As Tia was telling me about her brother and a plate of meatballs Felix sat down next to Tia and the first thing I noticed was his hair.

He had dyed it blonde and had cut it as well. I mentally sighed and cursed him. He looked good beforehand. He joined in our conversation by starting to talk about the about of video games he had played over the holidays. I smiled at the pair of them as Tia sighed in the middle of his rant and started an argument. As the pair of them was having a heated argument about whether or not video games matter I noticed that Felix had gotten another piercing in his ear.

As I was admiring Felix (I am not admitting to anything here) the last of our close-knit group arrived. Isaac practically swaggered into the room and dramatically took off his sunglasses. Upon sitting down, he flicked his hair in a very Justin Bieber way before smiling at us all. You could hear the other girls in the library swoon at the very sight of him. As you can guess Isaac is the one of those popular, good looking, and smooth-talking guys. At the very least that's what he wants people to see not many people know what he really is like. Underneath that horrid persona was a smart, introverted guy.

Smiling at my friends I joined their conversation. It was good to finally catch up with my friends. It had been hard these past few weeks as mum and dad had been fighting and I wasn't allowed to go anywhere. So, I getting out seeing my friends today was my sanity inducer.

We sat there for another couple of minutes talking about what we had been doing before a loud hellish shriek that revealed banshee echoed through the air. We all groaned; the shriek was actually a loud, "FFFEEELLIIXXX" and it came from the one human being on this planet I could actually say I hated with a passion. Her name was Tallish.

This female of the human race was obsessed with Felix and would stop at nothing to be with him. Slinking over to where we sat she put an extra sway in her hips that made me want to vomit. It was truly disgusting that we even knew her. Tia started giggling at the face Felix now had plastered on his face.

This statistic girl pushed Tia off the couch and sat down next to him. Tia was sitting on the floor now, with a massive grin got up off the ground walked over to Isaac and sat down in his lap. Putting my hand over my mouth I tried so hard not to laugh at the pure shock and disgust on Aleah's face. Felix went along with it and wrapped his arms around Tia's stomach. Isaac and I were cracking ourselves up at the sight of this.

I was still laughing at them when my phone started to ring. I looked down at who it was and smiled at Felix and whispered to him that it was my dad and that I would be back. As I walked off I swear his eyes were glued to my butt. Answering my phone, I heard my dad's voice boom through the speaker, "Hey Gaea"

Cringing I turned down the volume before answering him "Yea hi dad .... What's up?"

I heard loud arguing coming from where my friends. I put a finger in my other ear was to hear what was being said better but at that moment my dad really wasn't speaking at all just sighing.

Hearing a soft sigh from the other end of the phone, this indicated to me that my dad was at the end of his patience, "Can you come outside? I'm waiting outside for you now. We have to go home there is something that we need to discuss as a family."

I was worried about what this might mean and nod my head even though he really couldn't see me before answering with, "Yea sure dad. I'll be out in a minute."

He hung up abruptly and I turned to walk back to my friends. As I approach I saw that Tallish had gone and that Isaac and Tia were quietly talking to each other. She got off his lap and quickly answered her phone that had started ringing. Most likely it was her girlfriend Nancy, I heard laughter and looking at Felix I noticed he was happy to have Tallish gone. Looking directly into Felix's grey eyes I smiled and told him I had to go before turning around and walking out of the library.

Upon walking out of the air-conditioned library, the first thing Inoticed was how hot it had gotten. The second thing I noticed was how the frontof the library had changed slightly. It had Greek styled columns outside of itthat had been painted a Roman purple. I cringed at the thought of someonepainting them and decided that it was an injustice to the origin and style ofthe building. Looking around for the car I spotted it right in front of thelibrary steps. Walking down the steps I made my way to the backseat of the carbefore noticing that mum wasn't in the vehicle. A few minutes later mum jumpedinto the vehicle and we started off for home.
