Sadly, the goddess didn't grant my prayer and when I entered, I noticed that both of my parents were in the kitchen being somewhat civil to each other. I cringed and held up my bag of things I had packed earlier.

"Tia and I are going to have a sleepover for the next couple of days. At this point I don't care what you are going to say, I need to get away from you guys. So I'll be at Tia's," I said with a wave of my hand and then quickly disappeared out the front door.

As I walked out the front door I noticed a guy watching me and the house I lived in. My mind automatically kicked into gear. I was afraid and so it came up with everything that could go wrong. I slapped myself in the forehead.

I knew I was being ridiculous but that didn't stop my mind from being stupid and coming up with everything that could go wrong. I started down the street for Tia's house. I always went to Tia when I had a problem with my family. Looking down at the pavement so I didn't trip, I noticed that the man from before was following me.

Frowning I sped up so I was fast walking. To make myself feel netter I started to hum a tune to myself. When my phone beeped I practically jumped out of my skin. Looking down at my phone I smiled. It just my dad making sure I was okay. Texting a reply, I almost tripped over a crack in the ground. Groaning, I managed to stop myself from falling over and continued on fast walking till I got to Tia's house.

I didn't look behind me once because I was afraid that if I did that man would be there smiling creepily and then abduct me from the street. Not that it would actually happen but having a random guy follow you from your house to your friends is kind of worrying for the person being followed. Sighing I made my way to the gate at the front of the house.

Smiling to myself I noticed that front gardens of Tia's house hadn't changed that much over the time I hadn't been there. Tia's mum loves to garden and I think Tia choose the plants this time. There was a simple layout this time. There wasn't anything to elaborate when it came to plants this time. However in one of the gardens there was just an Aloe Vera plant. I started laughing at this. The door to the house had opened and standing in the door way was Tia.

She noticed me laughing and smiled along with me. Next to the door were some hanging plants in little containers. I struggled not to laugh at the fact that Tia's hair matched the colour of the leaves. After I got inside the house I noticed that Tia's mum had been redecorating. The office area was now converted into a sun room. My shock must have shown because Tia started to laugh.

Still laughing, Tia pulled me down the hallway (which was decorated with pictures of everyone) to her room. I smiled at her enthusiasm and tried to keep up as she practically tried to yank my arm off. Upon entering her room the first thing I notice is the blue. The walls in Tia's room have been painted ocean blue. I had to close my eyes so I could see again. The light bouncing of the blue on the walls hurts your eyes. The next thing I notice is her book collection has grown and she now has two book cases.

Sitting down on her double bed I place my bag on the floor and watched as Tia opened up her window. A fresh breeze rolled into the room and I sighed. Tia sat down on her bed and looked at me with an eyebrow raised. SO I spilled everything that happened. I hated it when my parents were like this and in the middle of the story, I started crying.

Tia seemed shocked of what I could see in between the tears falling from my eyes. After a while I finished crying and the story and tea just sat there, hugging me. Smiling through the tears I hugged Tia back. When her mother came into the room we broke the hug. Walking back down the hall I figured out that it was just us girls. I whispered this to Tia and she squealed. It was now officially girl's night.

We stayed up late that night, talking about girl (and in my case boys as well), watching movies and just eating junk food. It was a great night and when I hit the mattress I fell asleep immediately. However in the middle of the night both I and Tia woke up to the sounds of our phones. Looking at the screen in the darkness I squinted to see who it was. I didn't know who was calling, but I thought it could have been one of my friends. Upon answering the phone all that could be heard was background noise and breathing. I sat straight up in the bed and look wide eyed at Tia. She had gotten the same call and it was happening to her to.

Tia quickly hung up. But I didn't ... I heard what sounded like a scream on the other end of the call and laughter before the phone went dead. We were shocked and I ended up in the same bed as Tia. We both tried to get to sleep but couldn't because every creak and groan of the floorboards sound like somebodies footsteps walking outside her room.

In the morning the small of bacon pancakes wafted through the house. Tia was not as scared any more and we both walked down to the kitchen looking around and making sure there was no one around the house. As we reached the kitchen, Tia's mum had a plate full of bacon pancakes and the two boys from our group were sitting at the kitchen table.
