Chapter 11

Apparently, my body in that moment decided that it didn’t like me. My stomach moved and the saliva in my mouth just wouldn’t stop coming. I could state the iron in the liquid as it just kept coming. I managed to move my body to the side of the best so I could hang my head off the side. My body shook violently as I could taste the bile coming up my throat. That being said I now know that my last meal tasted better going down my throat then it did come back up.

I couldn’t help myself as I looked at the mess that was on the floor. The mess I had caused, or rather that my body has caused. I didn’t know why now all of a sudden y body was rejecting itself. It was rejecting me the soul within it. At least at the moment it was just my stomach lining that didn’t agree with the food I liked or put into it. These thoughts floated through my mind and seemed to float around in bubbles in the air connected by strings. Funnily enough it looked like a diagram I would draw in school.  With all the line connected in the air I noticed that the main thought was that it was my fault that everything was happening.

It was that moment that I heard my parents arguing in the next room. I tried to zone it out. I really did but my ears seemed to pick up on every single little sound that was going on in the immediate surrounds to me. I could hear all the induvial leaves rustling in the backyard. I could hear every step that the smallest spider made in the corner of the room. It seemed to be making a different sort of web then normal.

I couldn’t help but notice that my vison, although it was blurred by tears, seemed to sharpen. I was dazed but for a few moments its like is as seeing through the eyes of the spider in the comer of the room had been looking down on my weakened form that had vomited on the floor. I shook my head. I had to be hallucinating. However, I knew for a fact that the what I had seen was myself. What confused me was the black veins that were running along my arms and face. The darkness that was threatening to control me.

My ears tuned back into the conversation that my parents were having in the next room. It was hated and there was so much telling that I could hardly think straight. Accusations ere being thrown around. I heard words like “faking it”, “clearly sick”, “needs mental help” and so much more then that. The sensitivity was in and out as I tried so hard to stay awake and not drown myself in my vomit that I was threating to throw up all over my bed.

By some grace of the goddess I managed to continue to hang my head over the edge of the bed. My stomach clearly still didn’t like the its contents. I shook my head, my skin going more and more pale as I managed to stagger to my feet. I was sure that at this point that I looked whiter than the paper that sat on my desk in the corners of my room. I managed to somehow to walk outside of my room to the room where my parents sat before, I collapsed onto the floor as the world spun in circles and looked like a bad hypnotist on the television.

All I heard after that was my fathers voice on the phone to someone else as my mother berated him in every language she knew. She apparently thought that I was faking the whole thing until my eyes rolled back into my head and I started to spew more onto the floor.
If there was one thing that I knew irritated my mother was an unclean home. I never purposefully made a test unless I was actually sick. Like I need to go to hospital, I can’t fend for myself, get me help sick.

Sirens soon could be heard through the neighbourhood. Please bear with me reader as I recall what I was told when I woke up in the hospital. The paramedics came into the house to find me on the floor like I described earlier. They rushed fluids into me and did a bunch of medical stuff (whilst it was explained to me what happened I didn’t really pay attention to what was going on or being said). The Ambulance rushed me to the hospital to where they had apparently taken bloods to try and find out what was wrong. What they found instead was a very bad infection linked to the what was happening on my back and apparently my new found abilities (ire hallucinations as they called them).

There was also a problem with something that was in the blood that in normal levels wouldn’t harm a human but, in the levels, I had caused the problems I was experienced and as such I was likely to be alive.  This is where things start to get interesting.  I was taken away from the local hospital to a different facility that was un by the branch of the government that craven worked for. Or well the organisation. I’m not sure what was going on.

All I know was that I was experiencing was a world of darkness. In this work there was a woman standing there on the edge of a brick house. There was vines everywhere and this lady had spider legs coming out of her back. When she turned around to look at me, she had four eyes on each side of her face. Each of the eyes where a different colour and she held a spider in the palm of her hand. Her skin the colour of violent faded in the sunlight. She smiled at me and offered me a seat next to her overlooking a town that similarly matched in.

The sky was a vortex of purple and black and the colours seemed inverted. This world was unknown to me but she seemed to be a queen of this place. It was evident by the crown that sat on her hair.  We sat and watched the world for a while before she turned four of her eyes onto me and four watched the world around us.

“I’ve been wanting to mee you for a while Gaea, You and I are the same person. Well now we are. somewhat. or we will be”,  she thought over her words as she said them just as I would in real life. I didn’t want to out anything to far as I was finely without pain. I didn’t have to feel the pain that I was going though anymore. I felt like I was floating on a cloud of bubbles just wafting through the air. Her smile was intoxicating to me.

I know she wasn’t human. Her looks wouldn’t have allowed it even with the amount of genetic mutation that can sometimes occur. But being with this person felt right, it felt natural m it felt warm and fizzy and all the good feelings that you’re supposed to have about people that you can trust.  Her voice was warm and silky smooth. Like warm butter on toast. The melted version that is just so amazing.

“This world is what waits for you when your realis your true potential. We can all later I suppose. I am here for you whenever you need me” she looked at me with the emotions of a best friend “You’re going to wake up soon and when you do … you’ll be different. not physically yet because you haven’t accepted me yet but when you do, you’ll know.”

I was then abruptly pulled from the comfort of that world into the harsh reality of the real world. When I opened my eyes, I saw the harsh white of a lab room. Everything around me was white. The walls the floor the ceiling. Next to me was metal/ Surgical instruments sat on the tray all bloody as I attempted to sit up. I couldn’t … I couldn’t move to well but I at least I knew I wasn’t missing any organs. My back felt better and as I looked at my body. I looked normal….

A man walked into the room and smiled at me,” Hello miss. Your surgery went well we managed to clean out all the infection without hurting the tattoo on your back.”

He walked to the side of the bed and looked over the chart and the bags that where hanging up before I saw Craven walk into the room and I let out an audible groan.
