"Hey, it's Jade, I can't answer me phone right now. Leave a message and I'll get back to you."Strange. Jade always answered when I called. She carried her phone with her everywhere, didn't go anywhere without it. The only times she didn't answer was when she showered, when she was mad at me, when she was sick, or when she was stuck in a meeting at work. As far as I was concerned, she didn't have work today, I hadn't done anything to make her mad, and she wasn't sick either. Jade felt absolutely fine when I left her this morning.
Jade's probably in the shower. It's freezing cold outside.
That must be it. Due to the freezing cold December air, she was most likely warming herself up in the shower. My Jadey was home, she was safe. Everything was the way it should be, nothing out of the ordinary.
But she's not answering her phone.
Sometimes I wished my conscience would shut up. By reminding me how my long-term girlfriend didn't answer when I called, it made me ten times more worried than I already was. Given the stressful day I had had, I didn't need more weight on my shoulders.
With shaking hands, chattering teeth, and snot pouring out of my stuffed nose, I finally managed to unlock and open the door leading to the flat I shared with my girlfriend. Stepping inside, I noticed all the lights were off. The flat drowned in darkness. Something didn't feel right. Why hadn't Jade turned the lights on? She hated to be alone when it was dark in the flat. Hell, the girl slept with a night light when I couldn't sleep at home due to work.
"Babygirl, I'm home!" I shouted as I turned on some lights to light up our home.
Silence.
Why didn't Jade come running into my arms? She always did that after we had been away from each other. I decided to try again. Maybe she didn't hear me the first time? Yeah, that must be the case.
"Jade, I'm home!"
Silence.
Okay, something was definitely off about this. She didn't answer her phone, all the lights were off, and now she didn't answer when I called out her name to let her know I was home. This wasn't like her at all. Something must've happened.
Determined to find my girl and find out why she'd gone MIA, I began my search for her. I looked in the bathroom, in the kitchen, in the living room, and in the guest room, but I couldn't find her. I had our bedroom left to search, and if she wasn't there, I'd have to call the police and report her as a missing person.
Praying to the higher powers that my girl was in our bedroom, I took a deep breath, opened the door, and walked inside. Turning on the light, my heart stopped for a minute as the unpleasant view appeared before my eyes.
Jade lied on the bed, fully dressed. Her body shook as if she had an epileptic seizure. Extremely worried about the brunette, I ran towards the bed. Taking her in my arms, I felt how hot she was. She had a fever. A dangerously high one.
"Hey, Jade, babygirl, can you hear me? Are you alright?"
I couldn't get a word out of the shaking girl. Judging by the chattering of her teeth, I could tell she froze. Freezing was common when you had a fever. Shaking like an epileptic person wasn't. I needed to get her to a hospital. The high fever and the shaking worried me. A doctor had to take a look at her.
I lifted her up in my arms, carried her bridal style, then I walked out of the flat we shared. Locking the door behind me, I walked down the stairs. Bypassers sent me worried looks, but didn't stop and ask about the girl in my arms. I didn't have time for questions anyways.
Outside, I snagged a parked taxi. The driver tried to argue with me by saying he waited for other people to arrive and that I had to get out, but I sent him a death glare, showed him Jade, and ordered him to take us to London Bridge Hospital. Realizing I was serious and that the girl in my arms needed medical attention due to her constant shaking, he started the engine and drove away.
We arrived outside the entrance to the emergency room approximately fifteen minutes later. The driver refused to take my money and wished me good luck with Jade. I thanked him so heartily for driving us, then I stepped out of the vehicle.
Carrying Jade in my arms, I ran towards the entrance. Nurses who saw Jade fetched a stretcher and sprinted towards us. They took Jade from me and put her on the stretcher. I quickly explained what had happened, afterwards I watched them rush her away.
Please, let my Jadey be okay.

"Miss Perrie Edwards?"
A female doctor with black hair and grey eyes appeared in front of me. She had a clipboard in her hands. I stood up from the hard plastic chair and shook her hand. I probably seemed calm and collected, but deep inside I was screaming and crying. I was terribly worried about Jade.
"How is Jade, Doc?" I asked calmly.
"We've given her Ibuprofen for her fever. At the moment she's eating ice cream and drinking soda. You can come visit her if you want" the doctor said softly.
The doctor didn't need me to answer to know I wanted to see my girl. The smile on my face was enough for her. She lead me to room 204. Opening the door to the hospital room, a healthy-looking Jade appeared. She looked much better.
I thanked the kind doctor so heartily for taking care of Jade, then I made my way inside the pristine hospital room.
"Hey, babygirl" I smiled.
"Hey, baba" Jade replied with her mouth full of ice cream.
Giggling at the older girl, I connected my lips to her much cooler forehead. Pulling away, she smiled at me. As her smile reacher her eyes, I knew the smile was genuine, real.
Longing for intimacy, I told Jade to scoot over, which she happily did. I lied down on the bed. I wrapped my arm around her, held her as close to me as I possibly could.
"I'm so happy you're okay, Jade."
With that being said, I captured her lips in a passionate kiss.
