Ayano's POV

After the incident, a neighbor called the cops. They kept hearing loud screaming every single day from Taro and they got concerned about him. That was the same day that Budo died when they called to the police. When they arrived, all they saw was the corpse of Budo Masuta. The knives both Taro and I had were thrown into the school incinerator the next day so that there could be no evidence against them.

The martial arts club had disbanded due to the leader being dead. I now am not in a club anymore and I am free to choose any other club I want.

The funeral for Budo was a week from that day. All of the students at Akademi High came to visit his coffin. Many of them cried, some got angry and wanted vengeance, while others just stared at the coffin in disbelief. He was a martial arts master, after all.

After the funeral, the school had a dark aura. Everyone was too scared about what happened to Budo. No one talked to anyone anymore. No one laughed. All you can hear was the clicking of people's shoes, the teachers giving a lecture, the sound of paper flipping, and that was pretty much it. Of course, every single had to teach, otherwise, they would get fired, so they were the only ones that said anything out of the entire school.

No one posted anything on their social media for the longest time. When someone did, it was about the Budo incident. Some comments followed after that, but then it was all silent again.

Taro and I didn't speak much to each other either. It's usually just whispering and passing notes to each other, but we still hang out with each other, just not very much. It was like we were exes, and it hurt a lot.

Currently, I'm eating lunch on the rooftop alone. Taro doesn't eat lunch with me anymore, sadly. He usually sits at the fountain and eats there. He doesn't even talk to anyone, not even the girls that like him. He usually just stares at his food, his grey eyes dull.

I poked at my food with my chopsticks and sighed. I just.. really wanted everything to be normal again.

After a couple of weeks since the Budo incident, I have completely stopped going to Akademi. It was too much for me. The silence, Taro not even talking to me, everything. I still talk to my friends online, but not in real life, and it hurts so badly.

My mother, through Skype, wanted me to continue to go to Akademi, but my father denied her, saying the school was far too dangerous. I don't blame my father, he was a victim of a yandere from the same school anyways. What do I mean by that? I meant that my mother was a yandere, and my father was the victim.

I heard the entire story from my mom. She told me that she fell in love at first sight with my dad, and even killed so many rivals so that she can just have him. In the end, when she got rid all of her rivals, she confessed her undying love for my father, and he agreed to be hers.

But that was a huge mistake, or at least my father had told me after my mother's story.

After a month or two of them dating, someone told him that she killed all of the people who fell for him. Hearing that, he decided to dump my mother, but my mother decided to kidnap him and bring to her basement.

She kept him there for days, weeks, months, until he learned to love her. He eventually did, falling for her trap, and soon enough, they created me, the second yandere of the family.

And that was all I heard from my mother.

I shut my eyes as I started to drift off to sleep. Tomorrow, I would have to ask and transfer to another school and start a new life.

No more Akademi.

No more Taro.

No more feeling depressed.

A tear slowly fell from my closed eye and onto the pillow my head was on. I just couldn't believe that I'm really leaving. I didn't have to leave, but I did. I felt like I needed to be happy again.

I await for the next day, waiting for the sun to come out, waiting so that I can transfer schools.
