The True Yandere [Taro x Ayano]

Chapter 24

Taro's POV

After a couple of days, I went to go a message a person named "L," who is a very famous detective who had recently came to Japan to investigate the Kira case.

Taro: This is L, correct?

It didn't take too long before they replied.

L: Yes. Do you have information about who Kira is? Also, how did you get my phone number? I don't remember telling anyone my number.

Taro: I know who the real Kira is. Also, my father is apart of the police force. He gave me your number when I told him I knew who it was.

I lied. I heard some police talking to each other about the case. One of them, coincidentally, had "L's" number, mostly likely working with "L". I pulled out a small piece of paper and a pencil to start writing down the number.

My phone buzzed and I stared down at it.

L: Interesting. Anyways, who is Kira? Tell me.

Taro: It is Light Yagami. He has a death notebook. He can control people's movements before they die. Of course, you already know that any name written down while thinking about the person's face will kill them.

L: I'm on my way. Thanks for letting me know.

I smirked and waited for his arrival.

Ten minutes later, the police arrive and arrest Light Yagami.

They found his death notebook in his bag, which is odd. He probably brought it so that he can kill someone secretly while trying to make himself look like a normal student taking notes.

While the police were bringing him to the police car, Light turned to me and glared.

"I'll never forgive you for this!" He yelled.

I only laughed at him.

A couple of seconds later, a man with messy black hair and very dark eyes walked over towards me.

"I assume you're the one who messaged me? He did yell at you," L said.

I nodded and looked up towards the sky.

"Yeah. Oh, I'm Taro Yamada. It's really nice to meet you L," I smiled, looking away from the sky and at L.

"Nice to meet you too," he chuckled quietly.

An awkward silence was filled between us. I guess the both of us are antisocial.

"Well, I have to leave. I'm sorry, and maybe we can be friends?" He asked.

"Sure! See you later," I said.

L went inside a car where a butler was waiting and the car soon vanished from my sight.

Now that there are no more rivals, I can have Ayano to myself.

I can confess to her soon.

Light's POV

[A/N: Did you see this coming~?]

"I swear, Kira isn't me!" I kept lying in the car.

"Shut up or we will shoot here right here, right now," one of the police officers growled.

I sighed and looked outside.

A minute later, an idea popped into my head.

"Hey, you know the murders in that school, correct?" I questioned.

The same police officer turned around and gave me a questioning look.

"Yes? What about it?"

I chuckled darkly and said, "I know who the murderer is, and I have evidence."

The officer gave a "tch" and growled, "There's no way. We know that you're the murderer. Give it up, you'll never escape from this, no matter what you do. We all know that you're the one behind all of the murderers in the school, in Japan, and globally."

"Whatever," I grumbled.

In the end, I couldn't tell them that Taro is the murderer. They will never believe me.

Ayano's POV

When I heard of the death of Budo, I was scared.

Although I was scared, I knew that it had to be someone I knew who was doing this, most likely Taro.

And then, when Megamo died, I knew it had to be him.

Somehow, he got rid of all the evidence, like I would when I was deeply in love with him.

He became a yandere, like me.

And before I knew it, he also got rid of Light by telling L.

I have no idea why he wanted to get rid of Light, but I guess it was for me to be free and happy.

..Is he jealous of them?

Well, I never really had true feelings for Budo or Megamo. I used to like Budo, but of course, that event happened. Also, obviously, I never liked Megamo.

I guess he was really jealous of them.

Sighing, I look down from the rooftop to look at what people are doing below me.

I wonder what he is doing right now..
