The first redemption test for the Rowdyruff Boys came on the first day of school for them. Blossom was studying extra hard for American history while Brick had decided to take a chance and do some Algebra. However, Blossom became slightly frustrated when she got to the chapter of female suffrage. Brick in the meantime was solving complicated addition and multiplication problems in his head impressively without the use of a calculator. Suddenly, he heard a loud scream followed by sobs coming from where Blossom had been studying. Brick floated over and saw her sobbing into her hands. "Come on, Blossom! You're stronger than that!" But much to his surprise, Blossom just kept crying. Brick, now feeling a little guilty, floated over and softly asked, "What's the matter?" Blossom glanced up and with a quiver in her voice answered, "It's depressing reading about what these ladies had to go through before they were allowed to vote and actually contribute to life itself. I'm worried that if I let my emotions get the best of me, I might get in big trouble in class." Brick cradled her in his arms and talked to her. "You know, a boy like myself would have fit in the times of back then, but truth be told Blossom, you're very capable of doing anything. You just have to believe in yourself." Touched, Blossom leaned her head up and kissed Brick right on the cheek. Brick turned pink for a quick second then asked, "You want to review some Algebra with me? It might make you feel better." Blossom nodded and said, "How about afterward we ask the Professor if he needs help in the lab?" "Agreed!" With that, the two lovers went right to work on the quadratic formula. Little did either of them know that their arch nemesis, Mojo Jojo, was watching from the shadows and muttering to himself, "That no-good red demon! He is responsible for turning something that I, Mojo Jojo, created on my own. He will pay dearly for such a cowardly act."
