I knew my fate has been sealed as soon as I fell in love with an heir, but that's the thing about love. It hits you before you even know it, and you can't stop it from coming, and you can't tell your heart no, no matter how much you deny it. The next thing you know, it's probably too late. You've fallen too deep, and you can't back out.

Yao Wang can't even lift his head up, choosing to fiddle with his fingers instead, a nervous tick he cannot get rid of since he was little. The air is so tense he can feel it wafting around him, making him shrink in his seat. A sharp cough breaks the silence, causing him to look up instantly, meeting the elder's intense gaze.

"What is your relationship with my grandson?", he asks seriously, not even bother to beat around the bush. Yao Wang gulps at the question, thinking of the best way to answer. After several moments, with a newfound determination, he decides to just come clean. That would be the best. Come what may come. He takes a deep breath.

"Yeming and I... We are lovers. We love each other-", another gulp and he meets the man's eyes again, "I understand if you are against it. We are well aware that both of us are men...". Yao Wang stops for a bit, observing the other's reaction and finds none. He continues.

"I am an orphan, living with my uncle who works as a street vendor, and Yeming is a wealthy heir. But I am truly in love with your grandson". He feels a tear slips down his cheek. "With him, I feel right. Secure. Happy. So here I am... I want to be with him, regardless of your approval". He takes in a deep breath, proud to get it all out and braces himself for the impact.

Few seconds pass. "Why him though? He is stubborn, rebellious. He may be smart, but he is stupid most times. Childish. A troublemaker on top of that. He's good for nothing, that grandson of mine. He never listen to me, unless I blackmail him or something...". There is a change in the elderly's tone, as if it has gotten softer. Gone is his serious expression, replaced by a fond look. This change confuses Yao Wang a lot that he does not know how to respond.

"But... To me he's nothing like that at all. He's kind to me. He takes a good care of me".

Finally, a genuine smile breaks out on the man's face. "You are an angel, do you know that? You're too good for my grandson. And I thank you for choosing him. If he does something that upsets you, don't be hesitant to tell me or Mr. Chang here. I'll make sure to kick his ass myself".

Yao Wang cannot even begin to describe his feelings right now - he feels like he is dreaming. He has found someone he loves and can be with. Warm relief spreads through his veins, finally able to relax his body. Suddenly remembering last night's event, he jerks up.

"About last night... I'm so sorry. It's all my fault. Yeming was just trying to protect me. I'm sorry about the business deal-".

"Nonsense, my dear. I always say this to Yeming - if you want to run a business, always remember work ethics and discipline. Respect everyone, and everyone will respect you. No matter your economic background. That's how you would succeed in business world". Listening to Yeming's grandfather softens his heart. He is similar to his father. His father was a man of love and patience. Yao Wang feels sorry for this old man to deal with Yeming all the time. His lover sure is a lucky man.

"Mr. Kim...". He stops, seeing Yeming's grandfather shakes his head.

"Call me grandpa". He winks playfully at Yao Wang, causing the boy to chuckle.

"Well then... Grandpa, do you want to teach Yeming a little lesson for always giving you troubles?".

"What do you have in mind?".

Yeming sits on the edge of his bed, biting on his fingers as he waits for any news from the other room. The door to his room is heavily guarded with bodyguards it's impossible to pass through. And finally, after it feels like hours to him, Mr. Choi re-enters the room.
