Chapter 17////Sports Queen

Kaorus P.O.V

I walked to the soccer try outs watching everyone else run. I arrived at the soccer tryouts to see Butch. I grimaced, How could I be so stupid to not know he plays this.

Even though we're boyfriend and girlfriend I'm slow with relationships, but Butch is pretty fast with them which makes it awkward for me.

"Kaoru!" he ran up to me and said

"so why does everyone here call you sports queen"

I smiled patted his head like he was a child and said

"because I am the sports queen of the school and no one can match up to me." I smirked as he grinned.

He muttered "well I'll be your king." My jaw dropped at his words.

The coach walked up and said in a fierce voice "ALRIGHT 20 PUSH UPS FOR BOYS AND 15 FOR GIRLS!" I sighed and mumbled "why are we lower than the boys".

The coach heard me looked at her sign up sheet and yelled "MS. MATSUBARA FOR YOUR HONESTY YOU WILL BE DOING DOUBLE YOUR AMOUNT OF PUSH UPS!"

I smiled and the coach looked confused at me smiling but that only made me smile wider. Butch knew I was strange but didn't think I'd be glad doing this.

As we all bent down and started doing push ups I was the fastest one I had finished before the boys got to 20 or so I thought. Butch had finished first.

The coach said "Well Done Butch Kaoru, Butch I say you have been crowned Sports King, Kaoru you are The Queen as usual but now you have a King. I froze up as the coach said that.

The coach announced everyone who got in but me and Butch got in.

The rest of the day was a blur, after actually being beaten in anything to do with fitness was my worst nightmare, especially losing to Butch.

Butchs P.O.V

I saw Kaorus face fall when she didn't beaten me. I frowned at her face. I walked up to her and said

"Kaoru?" I waved my hand in front of her face. It looked like she was in heartbreak. Until afterschool she asked for a baseball competition. I agreed, but only to see her smile.

Later at the baseball school arena~

As we both knew the rules we asked Brick, Boomer, Miyako and Momoko to play, because the couples didn't want to separate Miyako and Boomer were on my side.

I face-palmed knowing that Miyako wouldn't even know the rules of baseball. I told her the basic rules then we started I was up to bat first and Miyako along with Boomer said

"you can take all the bats" I face-palmed thinking that's not even possible unless I get all home runs or something impossible getting out.

I took the bat and hit the ball hard straight at Kaoru. I started running then realised that ball I hit was hit too hard.

I saw Kaoru catch it and stumble back one or two feet but she caught it. Before I made first base.

She said "that the best you got?"

From that point I kept hitting it harder the next two turns at Kaoru she caught both.

We changed sides and Kaoru was going to bat. I thought she's probably not even god at baseball. I thought wrong.

She hit the ball and ran to first base. I caught it but then I noticed it hit so hard that it melted my glove. The ball still spinning hard. Then the ball dropped out. I stood in shock.

She got to first base and Momoko was up first. Brick showed her how to bat properly and I couldn't believe in she actually hit a home run.

Kaoru and Momoko went running around the track both hi fiving Brick.

I had to catch Bricks with a broken glove and I doubt I could depend on Miyako. But Boomer I can't depend on unless the ball comes flying at Miyako.

Brick hit the ball and what do you know. Straight for Miyako. Boomer raced in front of Miyako and caught the ball without a problem.

"one out" I murmured as he threw the ball back. Kaoru was back. I didn't catch Kaorus, but this time I caught Bricks and Momokos and we switched sides.

I whispered into Boomers ear "bat"

He understood and gave me the super powered bat that we got from Mojo.

I hit the bat earning a home run. It kept going home runs from our team with Kaorus face shocked. The game ended our team won and we went home to eat and to rest.
