Guys I'm terrible with finding names for the chapters sorry...but thanks to everyone who votes and comments on this bc that's what keeps me going so please let the notifications come in 💕 (Also sorry there might be a lot of mistakes in this)

I sat on the couch watching some tv show. It's not like I had many opportunities. I would lie if I said my mind didn't wander off to the girl now and then but on the other hand I had no clue where she went also why should I search for her? I had no clue who she was and where she went but still I couldn't shake of that feeling that I had to do something.

I know I should do different things than sitting here thinking about some girl but I've been procrastinating a lot these past days. When I stumbled over the girl I was just out to get something.

An old friend of mine wanted to meet up for coffee but I just kept making excuses. I knew I had to meet her eventually because I'm not a great liar and she'll figure it out now or then. "Maybe tomorrow.", I said to myself knowing it won't happen.
Suddenly I heard loud voices from outside the door. It was usually really quiet here so there had to be something wrong.

Sticking out my head I checked what the hell was going on

Margaret, an old woman living one flat below me, stood there. She was talking to a girl and to my surprise that girl was no other than the girl from yesterday.

Both of them must have noticed that I opened the door and looked up. Margaret seemed kinda shocked while the girl seemed relieved to see me. And I was just simply confused. First of all were the question why she came back and second of all what was she doing with Margaret.

"Mr.Smith that girl was in front of the house.", Margaret told me. Well, there's one question solved. Still one to go... I tried to lock eyes with her but she kept avoiding my gaze.

"She was bleeding so I wanted to take a look at it but she just keeps discussing with me, telling me she's fine.", Margaret added. All I did was nod and say: "Don't worry Margaret, shes a friend of mine. I'm gonna take care of it." The girl finally looked at me and after she didn't move I added: "Come on Laura I know you don't like doctors but everything is gonna be fine." And suddenly I saw something else in her eyes. If I wouldn't know it better I'd say it was amusement. She started moving and I led her into my flat. I said goodbye to Margaret and closed the door.

As soon as I turned back around the girl held me my missing sweater in my direction. "I needed to return this. Thanks for being so kind.", she said and I couldn't help but just stare at her hand. Margaret was right she was bleeding but I didn't expect it to be that bad. Glass shards were still stuck in her hand cutting deep wounds.

I didn't even care about the sweater anymore. Not like I cared about this stupid thing in the first place anyway. "You really need someone to check on that." No reaction. She simply kept holding that sweater up completely ignoring what I said. It was almost like she didn't hear it but I knew she did. I mean she wasn't deaf. "Forget about that stupid sweater. You and me are going to hospital now." Finally I got a reaction out of her. She sighed and put her arm down. "Look, you were the closest I got to people lately and I really really appreciate it but you've already done so much for me and I never know how I could ever make up for it. I really can't drag you more down into this. Just take that sweater and forget about me.", she said all those words without ever looking away. For some reason I related to her. I couldn't explain it; I just knew I couldn't simply forget about her. "Well you know how you could make up for this? Come with me to the hospital because I would feel for bad letting you go when you're hurt."

It was the first time she broke eye contact even though it was just for a blink of an eye but I knew I got her. She bit on her bottom lip and mumbled a: "Fine." I couldn't help but smile even though I tried to hold it back. That girl just makes me smile. "Alright let's go."
I said and started walking out of the door with her following behind.
