Tord woke with a chilling start, white surrounding him. He noticed he was in a hospital room. A warm hand was on his.
He breathed in his surroundings.

Cold.

Scary.

Sky boy looked down to see Tom asleep, but still gripping his chilled hand. Blue boy's breathing was unsteady, as if something was killing him slowly.

Flooding memories returned to Tord's brain all at once. He remembered the bleeding pain of when he threw up the red liquids. Just the thought of it made his stomach clench.

Tord extended his pale hand and brushed back Tom's hair, immediately making him wake coldly.

It was silent at first, the voidless eyes burning slowly into the grey ones, but the voidless ones had tears springing in its eyes.

"I thought you were going to die on me, you stopped breathing for the longest time. Blood kept on spilling from your mouth. You got so pale and I couldn't calm down. And-" Tom's rambling was cut off by a pair of lips.

The room was silent, very silent as the world slowed down making the moment last...

Soon they pulled away to Tord starting to blackout. Sky boy pushed the blue boy away so he wouldn't pass out all together.

Tom gasped softly.

"Too much," Tord panted.

Blue boy nodded slowly and just smiled.

"It's okay."

Tord returned the smile.

"Are Edd and Matt here?" sky boy asked.

"Yeah, they went to the hospital's cafeteria to get some food."

"Tell them to get me bacon."

Blue boy nodded and pulled out his phone, texting Edd and Matt.

Tom: Hey, Tord's awake.

Edd: ABUOEIOURYVHBJNA FINALLY!!

Matt: Does he want any food?

Tom: He says he wants bacon.

Edd: ON IT!

Tom shoved his phone away.

"They're getting you the bacons, pal."

"Thanks, pal."

Tord giggled.

"So how's the wife? The kids?" Tom joked.

"They're great."

Sky boy laughed with blue boy joining in soon after. Mirror boy and cola boy burst into the room, sliding in like Michael Jackson.

"We gots the bacons for yous Tord!" Edd sang.

Tord laughed even harder now.

"You guys are great," sky boy smiled.

"Thanks."

"Happy you're awake, sky boy," Matt grinned hugely.

"Me too, Matt. Me too." (IF I WAS YOU I'D WANNA BE ME TOOOO)

*Time skip a few hours

Everyone finished eating and so now there was four boys left with full stomachs. Tord wanted to talk to Edd in private.

"Hey, Tom and Matt... can I talk to Edd alone for a bit?"

Purple and blue boy looked up from the stuff they were doing, Tom scrolling through his Instagram feed and Matt was taking selfies.

"Yeah, sure. Tom let's go," Matt dragged Tom out the door with him.

Green boy was looking at Tord confusingly.

"So what do you want to talk about?"

"So you're the unfamous starboy, huh?"

Heat rushed to Edd's cheeks causing him to look away.

"Yeah, I guess."

"So you know what's happening me, right?" Tord asked.

Cola boy nodded.

"It's unfair that you get the opposite of me."

"Well you are night and I am the sky, we're opposites."

Edd had tears forming in his chocolate brown eyes.

"It's not fair that you can't fall in love and I can! It's not fair that you were born like that! It's not fair! Our existence isn't fair!"

The sky swirled into several colors, making a beautiful new one, one that no one understood.

"The rules are simple though Edd, I can't fall in love or I die. You can't fall out of love or you die. They're just rules we can't follow. Rules that will burden us."

Edd gripped his shirt.

"But what is it all for in the end? Huh,Tord? For everybody watch us dissolve into nothing?! It's stupid! We can't live out happy lives!"

Tord started crying now as well. Tears were shed dramatically.

"I hate it Edd, I really do hate it."

Edd engulfed Tord in an embrace, tears streaming down each others backs.

"We better let the boy's back in. They probably think we're making out or something," Edd chuckled weakly.

Green boy got up and walked over to the door, opening in it to be hugged to the ground. Matt and Tom were hugging him tightly.

"What?"

"You were crying," Matt pointed out.

Edd wiped the remaining tears from his eyes.
"Yeah, I guess I was."

Matt shoved his lips onto Edd's, Tom got the fuck outta there and to his lover.

"I'm just gonna leave those two alone," Tom looked back.

Tord just laughed.

"They're cute together."

"Why aren't we like that?" blue boy sighed.

"Cause, we're different."

"True, true."

Sky boy melted his hand into blue boy's.

"How's school, Tommy?" Tord asked.

"Fine."

Tord rubbed small circles on Tom's palm.

"What do you want to do once I get out of this hospital?" sky boy whispered.

"Be with you."

Edd and Matt left the room, probably to do sum gud stuffs. Now the room was empty with the misfit pair.

"Sooo."

"Soooooooooo."

They both started laughed their asses off. That was until the doctor strolled into the room. His shoulders squared.

"Mr. Larsin?"

"That's me."

The doctor flipped through the pages on his clipboard.

"We took some tests on your blood when you were asleep and it seems you have a disease we've never witnessed before. There is some sort of tumor growing by your stomach and one in your lungs. Your chance of survival is 10% if we can figure out what kind of tumor it is and if we are successful on removing it."

The doctor smiled sadly.

"We'll do everything to keep you alive Mr. Larsin."

Tom was staring at the ground, not wanting to face the doctor and start complaining, starting a havoc.

"It's alright," Tord started. He tapped his finger on Tom's hand making their eyes meet.

"I'll make it."
