Three months later...
Kate walk up to Doctor Gonzalez that was waiting for her at one of her paintings.
"Hey." Kate greeted her with a bright smile.
"Hey." Doctor Gonzalez greeted her back nicely. "I'm doctor Gonzalez."
"Doctor Gonzalez? You're a doctor?" Kate smiled surprised.
"Yes. I specialize mental disorder and physical abuse." She replied with a smile and show her towards her paintings. "Which painting would you prefer under these categories?"
"I'm no professional but I'd go with that one." Kate smiled showing her to a nice painting.
"Okay I'll take it." Doctor Gonzalez smiled and put her handbag on the little table opening it. "Let me give you my card..."
She place her phone next to her handbag on the table and grab her card giving it over to Kate.
"Thanks." Kate smiled taking it. "I'm Kate by the way."
It's late. Very very late. Way over time. And it's raining.
Kate was still at the workshop busy painting. She rub her hand softly over her three month belly looking at the doorway when she heard something downstairs.
Before managing to move anywhere a cat at her window had gotten her attention.
She give a giggle feeling stupid but immediately stopped when she realised...she's not alone at all.
Has she locked the door to the workshop? No, she didn't.
Her scream echoe through the whole building.
A yellow taxi stop infront of the workshop.
Doctor Gonzalez climb out of the taxi and head towards the door being pushed out of the way by a man that wore a cape. She couldn't see his face whether he was wearing a black balaclava or anything. But sure was up to no good.
She goes in anyway heading towards the table she left her phone on but immediately got distracted by this crying and screaming coming from Kate's working area.
"No." Came the crying.
Doctor Gonzalez run up to it and open the door that was closed halfway seeing Kate laying on the floor in a puddle of blood.
"Kate..."
She run to Kate and go on her haunches to help her.
"Kate, I'm a doctor I can help. What happened?" Doctor Gonzalez asked and look at what caught her eye.
That night had changed Kate's life like in almost forever. She wasn't stapped or anything. She was physically attacked and beaten up like you would look like after a bar fight.
