"Nicole, you may step forward now."
Nicole step out of her chair and take a step forward facing the judge.
"You are guilty at..." The judge said starting to name it.
Kate sat there holding Dale's hand. He look at her same as she look at him.
"Kate, there's something that I haven't told you yet." Dale said sitting a bit uncomfortable.
She raise an eyebrow waiting for him to speak.
"Can we maybe talk afterwards?" He ask in a whisper.
"Sure." She replied with a nod and look back infront of her at Nicole.
"...you have life sentenced to jail with no parole for the cause of rape, attack and death towards Kate..."
Kate and Dale sat on a bench under a tree ready to talk.
"Kate, I didn't...I didn't cheat on you." He said out of the blue.
"And you expect me to believe that? Dale, I read the messages you send to Nicole around that time, you can't just say you didn't cheat on me." Kate said being sure about her facts.
"Kate, she planted it. She was around me like a rash and wanted to make sure you'd get suspicious. When you found my phone, it was on the kitchen counter. I haven't put it there. She was playing games on us. She send those messages to me and replied by herself. When we were through, she came to me saying, she wants to help me get over you. You know the rest of the story. But trust me Kate, I'd never cheat on you." Dale explained to her.
She stood up same as he. Just when she was about to walk away he grabbed her arm getting her attention.
"Why didn't you tell me by that time?" Kate asked confused. "And why were you defending her!"
"Because I had to. You would've found it suspicious if I wouldn't have. If I trully loved her, I would've said more than, "keep Nicole out of this". She played with both of us. Plus, she can't have children. That's why she targeted us. Because she saw how happy we were with our beautiful children." Dale replied.
"Dale, why didn't you tell me?" She asked again.
"You wouldn't have believed me. I'm a man. What proof did I had?"
Dale look down then back at her.
"I don't want to make you feel bad, but if you trully loved me, you would've gave me another chance Kate. Then we both would've worked through this." Dale told her. She bite her bottom lip and fold her arms with tears in her eyes.
"Blame the women." She said in a whisper looking away from him. "You know, if there's one thing you should accuse me of, is the fact that I never told you, I was pregnant. I won't blame you if you accused me for that Dale. I would just have chose to live differently. After the incident, I hadn't been the same, but now that all the monsters are burried, I go to bed every night with a clear conscious having that idea of, I'm married now, Dale is there to protect me. He'll be there around every corner when I need him. I trust him. I can tell him everything. I did get pregnant. I did get attacked. I did get raped and I did lost the babies but what I didn't do is, give up on the children. In any case, I was about to give up on myself, but I didn't. Do you have any idea how proud I am of that? I showed a real monster, that he won't get me down. I showed a real spoiled brad, that I never give up on my family, no matter what. Do not blame me for the divorce Dale, because you know damn perfect who the actual blame is. You could've told me."
"But I didn't." Dale said taking a deep breath.
"No Dale. You didn't."

"So, how did it feel?" Kate asked Nicole filled with revenge. "Knowing what happened to me and acting like it's okay? Did it bother you? Did you feel guilty? Tell me.""It felt perfect." Nicole replied through the phone to Kate that sat on the other side behind the glass looking at her also being on the phone.
"It did? Well, I won't blame you. But look who's laughing now." Kate said starting to laugh on purpose. "I am."
"I hope you're happy." Nicole said angrily.
"I am." Kate said slamming her hands on the glass. "You didn't expect me to break down in tears, did you? Well, I hope you burn in hell bitch. And when you do, I hope I'll be there to watch."
She place the phone back and grab her handbag starting to walk out leaving Nicole there speechless.
Nicole stood there in her sell with tears in her eyes with the evening's event playing off in her head.
"Hey there baby."
She turn around in horror seeing one of the big girls walking up on her. Her perfect life in jail.
That's what she wanted. A perfect life. But she didn't say where.
