CHAPTER SIX

Kate stood uncomfortably infront of her house with her bags infront of her.

"You're gonna be alright." Doctor Gonzalez comforted her.

Kate look at her and nod her head.

"Thanks for everything Doctor Gonzalez." Kate thanked and gave her a nice warm hug. "I really appreciate it."

"It's only a pleasure honey. I'll see you next year." Doctor Gonzalez smiled like a bestfriend would.

Kate sat in silence at the dinner table with Dale, Nicole and the two children. They were talking about random topics except Kate. She did the exact opposite making Dale extra worried when he saw her state.

"So, how was it?" He finally asked her. She look at him and pull up her shoulders. "Was it okay?"

"Was fine." Kate replied and look at Kayla that also looked at her.

"Are you going back?" Nicole asked getting her attention.

"Next year." Kate replied and stood up from her seat.

"You lost weight?" Dale questioned her. She look down at her stomach then back at him.

"Excuse me." Kate said and away from them to the bathroom.

Kate shut the door behind her and start crying in horror.

Her eyes spot a blade laying on the side of the bathtub.

Her hands grab it as she attempted to try suicide.

Doctor Gonzalez came infront of Kate's house and climb out carrying her jacket.

She look at strange car and sneaked up into the house. She open the door and close silently behind her seeing the family sitting around table except Kate.

"Hey who are you?" Kayla asked.

Doctor Gonzalez kept looking away.

"Sorry, I'm here for Kate." She faked a strange accent.

"Oh she went up." Dale replied only seeing the back of her hair.

"I think the bathroom." Nicole said.

"Thanks."

And with that Doctor Gonzalez walked up the stairs up to Kate's bathroom.

She open it and gave a fright when she saw Kate on her way to cut her skin.

"No! Kate!"

Doctor Gonzalez shut the door and lock it from the inside. She run up to Kate grabbing the blade from her and pulling her into a comforting hug.

"What's wrong me Doc?" Kate cried in her arms as they went in a sitting position.

"Shhht." Doctor Gonzalez comforted her and look at her trying to get her attention. "Kate, look at me."

Kate look at her with her red cried out eyes and her cheeks filled with tears.

"We're in this together. You need to stay concentrated. You have two beautiful children, don't do this to them." Doctor Gonzalez told her being very serious.

"Why didn't he just kill me? Why did he had to leave me in this pain? Why me?" Kate cried burying her face in Doctor Gonzalez's shoulder crying her eyes out. "Why me?"
