richie/eddie oneshots

LOVER.

"Bye Riche, I'll see you soon, I guess."
Eddie hugged Richie from behind, leaving the rest of the losers club.

Eddie took his time to walk, thinking about all the events leading up to now; he didn't even know how he was alive, he didn't know why he survived. But in the end, everything turned out okay.

Just look at me!

Eddie, don't look!

Eddie- Eddie, just look at me.

Richie's number one fear was clowns, and yet his best friend did everything to comfort him. Richie Tozier didn't care if a killer clown was walking towards them, he solely cared about Eddie. And only Eddie.

Eddie got onto his bike, paddling a few meters away until he heard his name being called, he was sure he almost had a damn heart attack.

"You scared me!"
Eddie exclaimed, stopping his bike completely before getting off. Richie laughed, following Eddie's actions.

"So, why- why are you here?"
Eddie panted, his short legs could only do so much.

"I just wanted to catch up with my bff!"
"Don't say that, ever again."

"Thanks!"
Richie slid a tip to the waitress, earning a smile from the brown haired lady; Eddie rolled his eyes, licking the dripping ice cream from his cone.

"Now, where did we leave off of Eds?"
"Don't ask me, I never agreed to this!"

The two talked about useless things, things like Richie beating another level of Street Fighter, and Eddie refilling his pills; the sun was setting and the town was beginning to get quieter.

Richie and Eddie walked out of the ice cream parlor, stomachs filled with cold sweets; the two remained quiet. Soon reaching Eddie's home, Richie stopped walking.

"Riche?"
"Eddie."

"I.. I think I'm in love with you."

It felt like the world had stopped, or slowed down, as cheesy as it sounds. All Richie could hear was his own heartbeat. Pounding against his chest, it felt like his rib cage was going to break into pieces.

"I-"
"I think I'm in l-love with you too, Richie."

The two gave out long sighs, shortly after; they smiled at each other.
