"Uh...what are you doing here?"

Sadie stood at the door of my hospital room. She was wearing baggy sweatpants and a t-shirt, and her hair was tied up in a loose bun.

"I was bored." She simply stated, tossing her bag on the floor. "And I thought you could use some sweets."

Sadie pulled a tupperware container out of the bag, and walked across the room to hand it to me.

"...Okay? Thanks I guess." I said, reaching for the container.

"That's all the thanks I get?" She scoffed, moving her hand so that the container out of reach. "It sounds like you don't want it."

"I do!"

Sadie handed me the container and sat on the edge of my bed. I popped off the lid to reveal a raspberry cheesecake, decorated with red syrup and whipped cream.

"Isn't this kind of bad for your family's business?" I asked her.

"What do you mean?"

"I mean the fact that you give me free stuff. Isn't that kind of a bad thing for business?"

"We always end up with extra sweets around the house when we don't sell as much as we make. You're just cleaning up the overstock."

"Oh. Okay."

"Enjoy it, shark bait."

"Shark Bait?"

Sadie shrugged.

"Yeah. It's cute yet morbid."

"I don't like that nickname."

"Tough shit. I like it, so I'm gonna use it."

"Ughhh." I groaned, lying down.

"Don't worry, I'm forgetting your real name already. You'll come to love it."

"Ok, that's all fine and dandy, but quick question."

"Hit me." Sadie replied.

"Why are you here?We never even knew eachother existed before this happened.
Now we're...aquaintances?"

"And I'm hoping for us to become best acquaintances."

"That doesn't explain why you're bringing me baked goods in the middle of the night."

"It's literally only 7:03."

"That's late for me. With all these painkillers I'm on, I sleep waaay too much."

"For a person that is supposedly high on painkillers, you seem pretty composed to me."

"What do you mean? This is me high."

"Ok...what's the difference between you and the high person I'm currently talking to?"

I narrowed my eyes at the ceiling, thinking.

"Well...let's see...normal Cameron would tell you to get out because he needs his sleep, and kindly reject your slice of cake because he needs nutritious foods to help him heal, as reccomended by the nurses," I said, digging my fork into the cheesecake. "But high Cameron is lowkey bored right now, and wants sugar, since the nurses are currently feeding him nothing but vegetables."

"I think I like high Cameron better."

"Me too. Non-high Cameron is way too uptight. Stoned Cameron is an even cooler guy."

"Stoned? You've been stoned before?"
Sadie asked curiously.

"Yeah. I've only been smoked weed a few times, though. Mostly at parties. How about you?"
