I tell people what I wish to be called.
Yet it's always something else.
I say not girl.
They give me back woman, lady, she.
I say not woman.
They all say,
Silly little girl.
It's not in your power to decide.
You see.
I am not girl nor woman or she.
I am merely a person.
No gender.
No label.
Nothing.
That should be enough for you.
That I am human and it's all you need to see.
