While on the vessel, the sea was rough and unforgiving. Waves towered like mountains and splashed onboard, the air was filled with the smell and taste of ocean salts which dried the tongue with a single breath. She stayed under deck for the most of the voyage, in the solitude of a cabin which held her luggage and a bed suited for one.

She had demanded that her food be brought to her door at mealtime, believing less eyes becoming aware of her existence would be the best. The food was not what she was used to, but it was hot. She always ate quickly, trapping the warmth of it in her gut.

When she finally arrived at London, it was not how it had changed since the last time she had seen it. The earthy roads that lead to it were now paved in cobblestone. The city itself had grown slightly larger, few buildings slightly taller.

Her heels stepped down from the step of the car, one foot planting itself into a shallow puddle. She did not notice this, for her eyes were fixated on the old wooden sign which read "Time Fix."

She pressed her nose against the glass of the window and couldn't help but crack a slight smile. The inside was completely barren, but the floors were swept clean. Hope stirred within her heart as she next travelled to the real estate agency.

It took most of which was currently in her possession to get it, but no amount of money in the world could give her as much bliss as the feeling of the will within her fingers. She held the set of keys up to the light of the moon, "I've got you, Wesley.."

She brought the key to the front door and pushed it into the small opening of the lock. With a small click, the key fell into its place. With a twist of her wrist, the key tugged the metal inner workings of the lock.

The words "Look out!" were suddenly shouted into her ear and followed by a loud bang. The keys dropped to the floor with the jerk of her hand while her body turned to see the commotion.

A man in a white and red sailors uniform kneeled on the ground holding his shoulder. Liquid garnet dripped to the floor and soaked into the pure white fabric, unevenly expanding about his back.

The face of the murderous devil was one which closely resembled her former household. The Generals son grimaced, sneering in disgust at the foolish sailor.

She rose a hand to her mouth and immediately swooped her arms beneath the sailors, dragging him backwards. The ajar door was pushed open by her rear and she laid him down  in streaks of his own blood. Another loud crack in the silence sent her ducking below shattering glass.

The glass fell over her body, being redirected to the sides of the sailor beneath her. She pulled herself up and stood in the doorway looking at the man "what do you want from me?!"

"The money my father gave to you in his will. I believe it was rightfully ours." The man straightened his coat and reloaded, aiming for the small space between her brow.

"How could such a beautiful child grow to be so corrupt?" She sighed and closed her eyes.

"The money or your life. You chose."

"It's too late, I've already spent it." She opened her eyes. He glance her up and down and watched her gesture to the building.

"You egg!" His angered eyes scrunched to be nearly nonexistent between the lines of his skin.

A thud to her brow sent her backwards, landing with her empty eyes gazing upwards at the ceiling. The pool of crimson reached towards her arm.
