Chapter 3

After bidding bye to her parents and mallika, gauri went towards her hostel. The hostel life and the new school will be turning point in her life.

Gauri's pov- Woah...it is a pretty big hostel. Oh no... Already I m missing my family so much, how will I manage further. Control ur emotion gauri control. (Suddenly she think of the oberoi family). Wow oberoi family kitna acha hai. Tej uncle aur jhanvi aunty bohot ache hai. Waise om bhi acha hai par han uska chehra thoda khadoos jaisa tha. Smile kar raha tha woh bhi khadoos ke jaisa. Par tha wo handsome. (Gauri chuckles a little). Oh no...gauri!!!! kya soch rahi hai?? Jaldi chal ab tujhe Teri room dhoondni hai aur kuch naye frnds bhi.

She went towards the attendees and asks her about her room. The attendees told her about the room and she went to find the room.

Gauri- Umm... Room no. 104 is my room....Room no. 100...101...102...103...Yeah that's it room no. 104.

She went inside the room and saw a girl studying. There was another bed beside the girl's bed which is supposed to be her. The girl looked towards gauri and smiled.

Girl- Hey. So it is right that the new students in our class is Omkara Singh Oberoi and Gauri Malhotra. Isn't it?
G- Yeah u r right.
Girl- So I m ur new roommate. By the way I m Lina.
G- Hi.. I m gauri.
L- Of course who don't know u.

Lina forward her hand for handshake. Gauri forward her hand in a little bit nervousness.

L- Hey. R u nervous?
G- Yes a little.
L- I know. Hostel ke pehle kuch din bohot ajeeb Lagta hai. Par baad main sab thik ho jaayega. Trust me.
G- (nodded) Toh tum kab se yahan padh rahe ho?
L- Main yahan 1 year se Hun. Aur mere bohot saare friends bhi ban Gaye hai. Aur dekho ek aur dost bhi mil gayi... Tum.
G- Han roommate bhi aur frnd bhi.
L- Acha thik hai chalo unpack ur luggage. Main tumhari help karoongi.
G- Ok. Thank u.

They set her bed and unpacked all the luggage and slept off.

The first some days of the classes r good. All the teachers came to the class and asked om and Gauri to introduce themselves to the class and vice versa. Om and Gauri didn't talk with each other at all. They only smiled looking at each other during the introductory session. Om seemed to be very happy between his new friends. He became the center of attraction soon. He told them about his life and cracked some jokes. All were listening to him and laughed occasionally. Even some girls were drooling over him and why nt he is the most handsome boy of the class.

Gauri was seeing all this sitting far away from them. Lina saw her and come there. Gauri didn't saw her and start talking to herslf

Gauri- (irritated) Offo... Pata nahin sab iss om ke aage piche kyun ghum rahe hai. Kya ye koi bhagwaan hai.
L- Bhagwaan to nhi hai par Oberoi jarur hai.
Gauri looks at her in shock.
L- Aur Haan handsome bhi hai.
G- (putting her hand on the head) Ab tum bhi suru mat ho jao Lina.
L- Ok ok ab tu itna jyaada gussa mat ho jaa. Kya ho gaya hai tujhe.
G- Wo..wo. (She sees omkara smiling at her)
L- Wo wo kya ab aage bhi bolegi.
G- Woh kuch nahin. Ab main chalti hun. Tum AA rahi ho ya nahin.
L- Arre wo mujhe library main kuch kaam hai. Tu jaa main AA jaaungi baad main.
G- Ok jaldi aana. Bye.

She went towards her room hurriedly. She went inside and sat on her bed and pulled a photo frame from her bag. It was her family's photograph. A lone tear escape from her eyes and fell on the photo. She again started to miss her family very badly.

The next day in evening gauri's parents Abinash and Rita came to the school to visit gauri as they promised.

Om was playing with his friends when he spotted them.

O- Nikhil tum log khelo main thodi der main ata hun.
N- Ok bro jaldi aana. Om went towards Abinash and Rita.

O- Hello uncle.. Hello aunty.
A- Arre om beta. Kaise ho?
O- Uncle main thik Hun aur aap?
A- Hna hum bhi thik hi hai.
R- Arre om beta sab log yahan baahar hai tumne gauri ko kahin dekha hai kya?
O- (become a little worried) Woh aunty....
A- Kya hua beta koi problem hai kya?
O- Aaj woh class main bhi nahin aayi thi. Uske friend NE bataya ki uski tabyat thodi si kharab hai.
R- Kya hua gauri ko?
O- Woh toh mujhe nahin pata aunty.
R- Acha thik hai.(to Abinash) aap yahan rukiye main dekh kar aati hun.
A- Ok.

Rita went to gauri's room. She saw gauri sleeping and Lina sat near her on a chair. Rita became worried.

R- Gauri!
L- Aap...
R- Main gauri ki mom Hun.
L- Ohh. Namaste aunty. Main Lina gauri ki roommate aur friend.
R- Acha kya hua gauri ko??
L- Aunty jyada tension mat lijiye bas thodi si fever hai. Humne usse medicine de di hai. Jaldi thik ho jaayegi. Rita nodded.

By that time gauri got up from the sleep.

Gauri- Mom...
R- Beta. (She goes near her) R u okay beta?
G- Mom....(cries and hugs her). Mujhe aap lo..logon k..ki bohot yaad AA rahi thi.
R- Sshh.... Chup ho jao. Dekho main tumhare pass Hun.
G- Papa nhi aaye?
R- Aaye hai na. Bahar hai.
G- Mujhe unse milna hai.
R- Thik hai chalo.

They both went outside. Gauri saw omkara talking with Abinash.

G- Ye yahan par kya kar raha hai.
R- Arre wo tumhare Papa ke saath baat kar raha hai. Usine toh humme bataya tumhare tabyat ke baare main.
G- Ohh.. Esa hai.

They reached near them.

Abinash and om saw them. Gauri went to Abinash and hug him.

A- So.. How is my daughter??
G- Kuch nahin Papa thoda SA fever tha. Ab aap logon ko dekh liya toh thik ho gaya.

Suddenly om called her.
O- gauri..
G- H..hna
O- Ab tumhari tabyat kaisa hai. Woh mera matlab sabhi teachers tumhare baare main puch rahe the. (He asked her worriedly)
G- Hna. I m ok.
A- ( To gauri) Toh thik hai beta hum jaa rahe hain. Apna dhyaan rakhna.
(To om) beta gauri ka dhyaan rakhna. Wo ghar ko yaad kar kar ke aaj kal bohot rone lagi hai.

Abinash patted on gauri's back.

O- (smiles at gauri) Ok uncle I will.

Gauri smiles weirdly.

Gauri's pov- Do din bhi nahin hua mile hue aur ye mera dhyaan rakhega. Pehle khud toh apna dhyaan rakhle.

Gauri chuckled silently but noticed by om. Om questioning raised his eyebrows by looking at her.

Gauri- Woh..nothing.

Abinash and Rita- Bye and take care. (And they went towards the gate)

Gauri looked at her parents and then at om. She gave him a half smile and ran away.

Om- (Confuse) Ajjeb hai ye ladki.
