Trap: The Unknown

Chapter 15

Robot's POV

We have been reading books ever  since after that breakdown happened.I have been patient this time and never brought up anything about going outside, even though I deperately wanted to.

I don't know and I can't even explain why but when I saw her tears streaming down her face, I began getting the feeling of sadness seeing her like that. When the right time comes, I'll show her the beauty that world brings, I just know its better and I can search that warm light I've been looking for.

All of a sudden, she stood up and unexpectedly opened the window. I was shocked and couldn't believe she step outside so sudden. And there, I walked slowly, with her waiting for me and reaching out her arm for my hand.

We walked to the admirable tree, both looking at our surroundings from near and far, admiring everything our eyes can see. We both sat down under the tree and after a moment of silence, she said "I wasn't able to go outside the world for a reason. I don't know what it is and I don't know why I was scared..... But, I feel that I didn't go because.... I was waiting for you".

I stared at her, not knowing how to respond and not knowing what to say. She was waiting for me? I suddenly thought of where I came from and how I got here. My only memory is when there was darkness everywhere until this warm light came and it was beautiful, then it slowly got further away and I had to chase it. And when i opened my eyes slowly, I was just already here.

Now that Im outside, I just need to know answers to my curiosity. Everything is blurry for now, but I just feel that all answers lies in this place, and its gonna start with her.

Then she turned around with a smile and said "Let's cherish everything from now on, we can explore and go anywhere. Thank you for existing, thank you for taking me and helping me to go out here, thank you for opening my eyes and making me realize how beautiful this other world can be, thank you for being my friend, I thank you for being here by myside and many more thanks to come. You have changed me, and now that we're together, I can go anywhere with you without being scared".

That was the longest I ever heard her speak. It was great and nice to hear that. I feel alive and....warm. And I realized, she is the warm light I was looking for all along........
