Chapter 30: The Husband & The Wife (EPILOGUE)

Omg it is the final chapter for this book and i actually feel sad about it :(

"Alexios, Rhode, where are the twins? Stop playing in the dirt! Percy, do you mind?!" Annabeth said pulling Alexios and Rhode away from the mud. They finally started their own family years after Annabeth's proposal to Percy. He never imagined her to go down on one knee and ask him to marry her. Well, that is Annabeth. The unpredictable and brilliant Wisegirl. 

And after Percy said yes, they planned a wedding that was set to date 2 months after the proposal. Many guests were invited. It was supposed to be a simple wedding but Poseidon and Athena did not approved of that. They are half-bloods for christ sake! And they wanted a simple wedding? Athena argued that day. So instead they had a grand wedding in Athens where their family and friends gathered to witness the eternal unity of Percy Jackson and Annabeth Chase. 

And a year after that, they had their eldest son Alexios Jackson. Today he is 8 years old now. He looks like the boy version of Annabeth, with his dirty blonde hair and gray eyes with a hint of green and blue in them, mixing like some stormy cloud. Percy cried the say he was born while Annabeth was passed out from the exhaustion of giving birth to him. But when she woke up, she cried and carried him to her arms. She immediately thought of a name that suited him very well. He looked like a baby who'll grow up very brave and independent just like Annabeth. So they named him Alexios, which means defender of mankind in Greek. 

When he was 4 years old, Annabeth gave birth to their first baby girl, Rhode Jackson. Her features were now just like Percy, with her jet black hair and sea-green eyes that had specks of gray in it. She also had rosy cheeks with freckles scattered below her eyes, that was the reason why they named her Rhode, meaning rose in Greek. While Alexios' had thick eyelashes, Rhode's were long.  They were supposed to stop at two but when they had this unplanned date in Italy, they knew they were about to break the plan of having just two kids. Especially when Annabeth wore a red silk dress for their date and Percy wore his dark blue suit. They were bound to create another baby, or rather, babies. 

No one thought that Annabeth would have twins. So when the doctor announced that they were having  identical twins, they both cried in joy. They brought Alexios and Rhode to the beach once in a while since they lived near it. Annabeth remembered how Alexios would touch her pregnant belly and whisper sweet nothings to his twin siblings. While Rhode would make toys out of papers or sticks so that the twins would play with it when they're born. Both of them were so excited to see their brother and sister. Sometimes Percy take them out of the woods to train, although there's not much of a threat nowadays, they still could not risk letting their kids roam around the world without knowing how to defend themselves from different kinds of evil. 

Many months passed and the twins were born, Tatiana and Theophilus. Tatiana being born first and Theophilus 10 minutes later. They were both 1 year older now and they're both smarter and at the same time very very playful. The toys Rhode made were the ones they always played with even though Percy and Annabeth bought some new toys for them before they were born, not that it was a bad thing. The kids were a blessing to them both, it made their lives so much happier. "I have the twins, they were playing in the beach, who left them there?" Percy yelled from the outside of their home. "You were the one who was supposed to watch over them!" Annabeth said face palming.

"Oh.." Percy said in a guilty tone. 

Now that Annabeth took hold of Alexios and Rhode, she told them to take a sower before going down and eat dinner. She found them in the forest, playing and running around. Their clothes full of mud and dirt since there was a little bit of rain earlier. The two raced up in their respective rooms while challenging each other who'll be the first person to finish cleaning up.
