Chapter Seven

"Just tell us where the monsters are— then we'll let you go."

I only run my fingers through my messy hair, tired of all this. April only kept trying to comfort me ever since the whole scenario.

"They are not monsters, okay!" I deny once again, which left the women to cross her arms at me. I lean back slightly while crossing my arms.

Ever since they took the three of us, they've been questioning us non-stop. I had to explain some of the story while April and Casey defended me. A camera pointed at us.

As much as I try to sound convincing, nobody in the room believed me. Mostly the woman in front of me, in fact she was just shocked but laughed slightly at the end.

"You sound just like Casey.." She said at the end when I told my side of the story.

After that— questioning started.

"Where's the monsters?"

"Why did you think you can get away?"

"Why are you helping them?"

Was one of the few things she asked. It started to get to the point where they kept repeating questions..

They kept on assuming the four were monsters as April and I tried our hardest to convince her that they were friendly.

The turtles won't do harm unless harm comes to them.

"The only monster here is Shredder and the two mutants he created." I let out and Casey crosses his arms.

"Bebop and Rocksteady." He adds in.

The woman only raises an eyebrow at us.

"If you think that something you say will help her credibility, you're wrong." She mutters leaving me to purse my lips at her.

"Shredder mutated them with Baxter Stockman. I suggest you see him instead." April leans in towards the table, and the woman only turns around. Opening a cabinet before looking through it, as I hear the clanks all around.

"Funny you should mention Dr. Stockman because ..."

She turns back around holding a remote.

"We analyze a security video he gave us."

"Wonderful!" I sarcastically yell out as I clap my hands together but she only gives April and I a small smirk. She wiggles the remote at us.

"Guess who's in it."

She presses the play button and there we turn around to see a projector. The video plays only showing me grabbing the ooze whole April presses the alarm. Something's wrong however..

Bebop and Rocksteady weren't shown

"That wasn't what happened." I deny almost instantly which left her to scoff slightly.

"The video is altered, they edited it." April defends as well but the women only shakes her head. Setting the remote down.

"They verified their authenticity. We checked and it wasn't altered. It's clean." She smirks but the two of us shake our head.

"We have right to make a call." I stand back up, slamming her hand on the table but April pulls me back down. The women only raises her eyebrow at me before sighing.

"Sorry, but the lines were interrupted by monsters breaking to our station house." She informs but I bite my bottom lip at this.

"Sorry, but legally we have the right to a call." April adds in but she crosses her arms. She looks over to her and I let out a exhausted sigh. Getting tired of all this.

"Tell me where they are." She demands once again and April shakes her head.

"We do not know." April mumbles and I look back up at the woman.

"But if we knew, we would not tell you anything.." I mumble at her, leaving her to give me an annoyed look. Casey only sets his hands on the table, having enough at this. He calmly looks up at her.

"Chief ..." Casey calls out leaving her to look back at him.

"The turtles aren't the ones you should be chasing.."
