My first ever fanfiction that I've wrote and actually felt confidant about posting it. whoo
Evan Hansen was not your typical high school boy. He wasn't into sports, he did not get high fives from his friends every time he walked into class, but most importantly, he could not talk to anyone without stuttering or having the fear he would say something wrong.
Evan had social anxiety. For the past years he has been surviving school by having no friends and messing up everything he says. Evan also felt lonely, between having no friends at school and having your mom always at work, he was sad. But today was going to be different.
Evan loves trees. Evan loves trees so much that his favorite place to go was a park not so far from his house. The park was surrounded with tons of trees for Evan to climb, so that was his favorite place to go. Today was the last day of summer. Evan had nothing better to do then go to the park and climb his favorite tree.
Evan sat in the tall tree for about an hour, thinking about school the next day. It would be his first day as a Senior at high school. He was nervous. His stomach was aching at the though of going to school tomorrow. What would he do if somebody walked up to him? Would he shake their hand? No his hands would probably be sweaty. Then he thought of something that made him hear his own heart beat. Would he be able to talk to Zoe Murphy? The girl he's had a crush on since 7th grade.
Just then his thoughts were interrupted by leafs on the ground below him crunching as somebody walked on them. Panicking, Evan sat still hoping the person would just walk away, he didn't need to socialize before he would embarrass himself tomorrow.
