***3rd person point of view***
G:"..ss. Oi! Boss!"
Giotto was pulled out of his own world by G's yelling.
ASARI:"You've fallen eh?"
Giotto looked at his rain guardian then back to where the girl with icy steel blue eyes once stood. She was beautiful, there was no point in lying, anyone would think so. Her long aqua hair stood par with the beautiful Cascata del Rio Verde that would make any spectator awe.
Her lips were painted red, tempting him, teasing him. He would do anything to claim them. Sadly the rest of her was a mystery to him since the cloak she wore hid her body as if it was a secret to be kept. It should've been against the law for her to wear something that would prevent him from admiring her full beau-
Before Giotto could continue with his thoughts, G once again interrupted him, and this time with harsh reality.
G:"Boss. I suggest you forget about her... you're getting married tomorrow remember?
Giotto let out a small sigh and continued to walk leaving behind his fantasy.
It was true... He was getting married tomorrow. Even worse, to someone he had never met. Truth be told, he was only going through with this because the bride was the daughter of a powerful mafia boss and he needed the power to get to the top.
Giotto knew how selfish it sounded, and that the sudden news was what got G in his bad mood from the start. He simply told his guardians that he had his reason for going through with this marriage.
All he hoped for was that his future wife wasn't a spoiled brat like most women he had met at underground mafia events. They only ever looked skin deep... and into your wallets.
He knew it was false hope, but he held onto the little hope he had.
~the next day~
Knuckles stood facing the crowd, dressed in his usual priest clothes. The Vongola Family on one side of the room, and the Tempo Family on the other side. Giotto dressed in a tux with a white vest and tie, waiting for his bride, who's appearance was still unknown to both him and his family.
Suddenly the piano started to play, and that could only mean the arrival of the bride. Giotto stared at the door, anxious to see who his life was about to be tied to, the one he had to spend the rest of his life with. His guardians shared the exact same curiosity because their eyes were glued to the door, waiting and watching. It seemed as if none of them dared to blink, afraid of missing anything.
As the doors swung open, a familiar pair of blue eyes were met with his own. They widened in shock before returning to it's original state. Giotto didn't have to put energy into fake smiling, he was truly happy to see his bride. His eyes followed her every move as she walked towards the altar, where he stood waiting for her. She was breathtaking, just like when he first laid eyes on her in the slums. A fire burned inside Giotto as he took in her magnificent dress.
Soon enough she would be his.
When she reached the end of the aisle, he stretched out a hand for her to grab. She gladly accepted the help up the stairs, especially with how tall and unstable her heels were. Their grasp of each other's hands were never released. Giotto didn't want to let go. He feared of losing the feeling she made him feel. Her hand fit perfectly in his, as if they were made for each other.
KNUCKLES:"Do you, Giotto Vongola, take your bride as your wife? For better or for worse? Till death do you apart?"
GIOTTO:"I do"
KNUCKLES:"Do you-"
Knuckles stopped mid-sentence causing everyone to wonder what he was thinking. The tempo family were on their toes, ready for anything and prepared to die protecting their princess. He cleared his throat and started talking again.
KNUCKLES:"Sorry...but... I never caught your name.
Giotto's eyes widened. Now that his sun guardian had mentioned it, he didn't even know his own bride's name. How shameful.
A small giggle escaped the woman's lips, Giotto couldn't help but smile a little more hearing it. It was innocent, reminding him times before becoming a Mafia Boss, his heart warmed.
?:"My name is Angel Tempo."
KNUCKLES:"Well, Angel Tempo, do you take your groom as your husband? For better or for worse? Till death do you apart?"
The slight pause made Giotto look at her. She was biting her lip, unsureness clearly showing in her eyes. Giotto couldn't help but find her adorable. He gently squeezed her hands and ensure her he was here for her. She glanced up to meet his eyes, pink dusted on her cheeks. Taking a small breath in, she spoke.
ANGEL:"I do"
KNUCKLES:"I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss.
Her eyes widened at the word 'kiss' causing Giotto to chuckle inwards. He placed a hand on her cheek as he drew closer and mouthed 'don't worry'. He discreetly placed his thumb on her lips and kissed his thumb. To everyone else present it seemed like a normal end of ceremony kiss, but those two knew otherwise. The crowd clapped as Giotto wrapped his arm around the waist of his newly declared wife. He was married. Married to the woman who had stolen his heart. Now all that mattered was to steal hers.
To be continued...
