My eyes flicked open, trying to adjust to the lighting in the room. I let a yawn escape from my mouth as I stretched. I noticed the empty spot beside me from the corner of my eye, memories of last night played in my head...

***last night***

I puffed my cheeks and crossed my arms as I entered our bedroom. Anata right behind my tail.

GIOTTO:"Bella how many times do I have to say I'm sorry?"

ANGEL:"you shouldn't have done anything to be sorry about. Especially this.."

GIOTTO:"But-"

ANGEL:"no buts. I want to get along with all the guardians. Obviously the only way to get along with Alaude is to fight him, you know this"

GIOTTO:"I do, but maybe you should try a different approach-"

ANGEL:"Why? My approach is working just fine. We hugged, I think that's great progress"

GIOTTO:"firstly you shouldn't be hugging any man, except me. Secondly fighting isn't something you should be doing"

ANGEL:"you're being way too possessive. We may be married but get one thing straight, I am not your object. I don't even know you. And. You shouldn't be judging me. If anything you should be listening to what I tell you. Didn't I say that I had won against Alaude? Doesn't that prove that I am more than capable enough of taking care of myself?

Anatas mouth opened and closed multiple times. He tried to say something back but had nothing to say. I think I went too far... I lowered my arms to my side and soften my expression.

ANGEL:"Anata... you can't baby me... I just want to get along with everyone, and you should trust your guardians to not do anything that would put me in danger.

Anata took steps closer to me and placed one of his hands on my cheek.

GIOTTO:"you're right, as much as I want to protect you, you are also part of the mafia world and I can't be there to always protect you."

I placed my hand on his and gave him a smile.

ANGEL:"mhmm. I'm always going to be right, so be prepared. I am part of the mafia world, have been since birth and I'm glad you're not hiding your powers anymore"

Giotto's smile dropped and his eyes went into shock. He stared into the distance.

ANGEL:"Anata..?"

He immediately withdrew his hand from my cheek.

GIOTTO:"I'm so sorry I didn't do it on purpose I forgot that I wanted to keep you in the dark about the mafia because i didnt want you to become a potential target, so I ordered everyone to keep their powers on the down low and then I go full fight mode right beside you... what was I even thinking..."

I covered my mouth as I released a giggle.

ANGEL:"you do know you're famous for your unique abilities right? Besides there were a couple clues here and there. You using your flames to massage my back - noones hands can warm up that much that fast. Plus when everyone was introducing themselves they said their attributes, don't you think that would have been suspicious right away? I mean what the heck would a sun guardian do? Protect you from the sun? If you were actually trying to hide it... then you did a really bad job"

Anata shriveled up and sat on the bed, head hung low in shame. I looked at him with a sad smile, before sitting beside him.

ANGEL:"I don't want there to be secrets between us. I want to be your wife, Mrs. Vongola, not an outsider. Let me be a part of your world. I told you didn't I, I'm really glad you're not trying to hide it anymore.
