20th of February 2016- The hour before-

"Oh come on, just have one drink? for me?" Cassidy stated. The night seemed long and the crowd was huge, under the abundance of fluorescent lights that towered above them. They were at a nightclub with fake ID's, supplied by Cassidy's best friend Jess.

Oscar sighed. "You know the deal Cass, I'm designated driver".

"Oh. Right. I forgot. I think the alcohol is getting to my brain" she said in a contemplative tone. "well in that case, how 'bout we find Jess and Dean so we can leave this dump"!

"Jess you've said that five times already, and yeah, They are coming over right now". Oscar said as he pointed to two figures slowly approaching them. Oscar made a mental note that they were holding hands.

"Hey Cass, hey Oscar! how's it going?" Jess said in an awfully cheery but slightly tipsy voice once she came over.

"Pretty good" they both replied in unison.

"Well great. I had an idea to go to that cliff that you guys always seem to go to. does that sound alright?" Jess questioned.

"Well- why not?" Oscar said. "But sober up first, we don't need anyone falling off the edge!" Oscar joked as they all laughed ever so nervously.

Little did they know, there was going to be a dead body precisely an hour after Oscar said that sentence. Just not in the way that they might expect.

Oscar was driving along the road, concentrating hard. He was tired, but he knew that the destination would be worth it. He looked over to his passenger seat to see Cassidy's feet up on the windshield. The window was down and her hand was outside the window, opposing the direction that the wind was blowing.

Her seatbelt wasn't on because she said that it restricted her from 'living her life'. Don't question it. Jess and Dean were in the back seat, having a conversation about stuff that didn't matter. It comforted Oscar to know that some of the best friends that he would ever have, were by his his side just enjoying each others company.

For once in his life he realised, he was happy. No- overjoyed, ecstatic! He knew what he wanted to do and that was exactly what he was doing at the moment. He knew that these kind of moment were what life was all about. But it all had to come to an end.
