Dilemma

The morning did not go the way it seemed it would.

Many of you were expecting to plan for the riot. Many of you were expecting to receive positions. But, early in the day, DeGraw rallied you all up in front of the Circus. You all stood in a crowd as DeGraw stood on a platform and spoke.

"There's gonna be some changes around here." DeGraw says coldly. "Starting with the rebellious uproar that is beginning to show."

Your hearts begin to pound the minute he says that. You guys made sure that everything was planned perfectly. How could he have found out?

"Number one. Inspection Day will take place weekly. Every Sunday after shows, I will have Carson, Della and Magnolia checking your tents. They will turn the tent upside down if they have to. I will not let the things that were discovered be hidden from me again. Number two. All of you shall stay in line. If I have to rule in fear like I once have, don't even doubt I will. Those who act out of line will be beaten or killed."

The memories of when Carson, Magnolia and Della cross your mind. In your heart, you know that those three will be in charge of the punishments.

"And number three. Everett Crane and the Underground are dead. I don't want to hear about either of them again."

This news is highly unnerving, as DeGraw walks off the platform casually. He doesn't look back at a single face as he leaves. Gone. You're chance to freedom was gone. What is there to do now? Are you gonna let this happen? Or maybe...

Maybe you'll just have to do it without Julius.
