CHAPTER 13

HANA

Once her face uncovered, I was so shocked looking at her condition. And at the same time, I felt so angry. Furious. What happened to her? Who did this to her? I quickly pulled her into my embrace, because I knew that she really needed it right now.

Few seconds later, I felt her body shaking and sobs came out from her. "sshhh... It's okay. I'm here." I soothed Yoojung. Tears also came out from my eyes.

I listened to Yoojung's problems all that time. Turns out, her father is a bastard who is unemployed. He's just sitting in their house, spending his time drinking. Sometimes, he would go out and gambling spending all their money on it. And he's the one who made Yoojung like this.

After her mother left them, her father quitted his job and changed drastically. Yoojung had to get few part-time jobs for her father and her to eat. But her father always asks her money for buy alcohol. Or gambling. At some point, I feel eased because she's the only daughter. Imagine if she has siblings. That's going to be so complicated as hell.

"so, what are you going to do now?"

"honestly, I don't know. I just hope my father doesn't come home tonight. He's really in a bad condition right now."

"just call me if something happens, okay?"

"thank you so much, Hana."

I shook my head to her. "you're already like a sister to me. Well, even I doesn't have siblings, but yeahh. I love you. So, no need to thank me." I said to her with an assuring smile. "can I ask you something?" "you just asked." I blurted, laughing. Then received a slap on my shoulder. But then a smile appears on her bruised face.

"okay, okay... What is it?" I smiled.

"you know, I'm curious about your family, because you never told me about them."

My mind freezes. I realized I've been enrolling in this school for almost three months and yet, Yoojung never know, no scratch that. I never told her about myself. Everytime she ask about it, my answer is always, "they're busy with work". I feel bad because hiding my story from her. We're best friends and more like sisters.

I'm still not ready. I haven't really moved on from the incident about my father. I know it's been awhile. But I'm still sad. I cried about it every night and morning.

The smile and laugh I showed to my friends are just mask that I need to wear to hide my feelings. Then again, I wear my smiling mask to her. "I'll tell you when I'm ready. There's a lot for me to process." Yoojung nodded. "that sounds complicated." I automatically snorted.

We were on our way to the class. But I can't help but to notice the school is really quiet. We entered our class. Surprisingly, it's empty. "where's everyone?" I shrugged at Yoojung's question. I'm also wondering. I look at my watch as we walking toward our place. It's still 12 a.m. "hey, our bags are missing!" I started to panic. We searched on every corner of the class, but failed. "what is really going on?"

"schools over, you fool," a scream escaped from my mouth. Meanwhile Yoojung jumped, clutching her chest. Turning, I saw Taehyung leaning on the door, looking so annoyed. Yoojung already standing behind me, with her face covered.

"school's over- wait. It's still 12, though." I said double checking my wrist watch. Well, it's true. "guys, I've found them!" Taehyung suddenly shouted, making echos in the corridor, then followed by foot steps.

"Hana~"

"where did you guys went?"

"why did you guys disappeared just like that?"

"did you guys get kidnapped? Tell us!"

The boys attacked us with their infinity questions, but thankfully, Namjoon made them silent. "why the school is so quiet? It's still 12, impossible-" "schools over 40 minutes ago." said Yoongi, handing out bags. I'm shocked and Yoojung is laughing silently behind me. "where did you guys been?? The students said you two didn't even enter the class after the recess." asked Namjoon.

Me and Yoojung look at each other, while the boys waiting for our answer. Instead answering them, I smiled sheepishly. "girls problem,"  The boys just made a face to us. "it's okay. Since we've found them, let's go home." said Seokjin when he noticed my uncomfortable face. With that, we left the school together.

We separated with Yoojung, since she have part-time to do. "hey, Hana," I turned to Jimin beside me. "are you busy today?" I shook my head. Rather than sleeping, yes. I'm not busy. "why-" "let's go to the arcade!" Hoseok cut Jimin, making the boy pouted.

JIMIN DON'T YOU DARE-sorry.

"I can teach you how to beat them easily." said Jungkook proudly. I laugh at the boy and his brothers rolled their eyes. "easily, my ass." Jimin muttered, but all of us can heard him. Including Jungkook.

"get off, Jungkook!! Yah! What are you doing? I'm your hyung!"

What Hana knew she was dragged by the boys into an arcade in the COEX Mall. "let's go!" the boys cheered. Fortunately the arcade is very noisy because of the game machines and only a few people judging at them.

Hana really had a great time with them. Who knows they are just like normal teenagers who love to play. Suddenly, someone took Hana's hand and dragged her. "let's go see Taehyung play the claw machine." Seokjin cheered. Hana had a mini heart attack back there. She thought some random guy want to kidnap her.

From distance, she already heard the boys' loud cheering. "Taehyung! Taehyung! Taehyung!"

Her heart beat increasing suddenly. Once Taehyung's face appeared in her eyes, she felt suddenly numb. The smile on his face she saw making her steps light. I like him.

It was Taehyung's second chance. The first chance is failed because Eve fall from the claw. This time, he tried his best to get it. His friends are cheering, including Hana. She doesn't know why is she feel so giddy watching Taehyung.

The claw stopped right above Eve and the boys are making noises. "what are you waiting for?!" Jungkook exclaimed. But Taehyung ignored him. "just push the button or I-" "I know!" taking a deep breath, Taehyung pushed the red button.

The claw move down and few seconds, they saw Eve is in the claw. Eagerly, the watch the claw move slowly to the hole. Some of them praying and some of them crossing their fingers. Surprisingly, Eve stayed in the claw before it released into the hole.

The seven boys are jumping, hugging and yelling like 5 years old kids who just received ice cream for free. "you did it! You did it!" Hoseok, Seokjin and Namjoon cheered, followed by the others. For a while, she forgot about what happened to her. Hana took her chance to snapped their picture.

"yah Tae, that's for me, right?" the others rolled their eyes. "no. I'm keeping it." Taehyung said hugging Eve. Then they started to bicker. Namjoon's and Yoongi tried to control them, but in the end both of them also got into the fight. Hana stood on her place watching the. Right now, she just need a bucket of popcorn and Pepsi.

The sound of Linkin Park' In The End stopped them, before looking at Hana. The girl's brow furrowed. "h-hello, H-Hana?"

Hana's eyes widened. "where are you now?"

"I'm in front of the school's gate."

She end the call before sprinting out from the arcade, without saying anything to the boys. The boys standing there dumbfounded.
