Chapter 6: The Boy behind the Mask

Drei's POV

Naglalakad ako sa hallway when I saw a familiar figure on the corner. Tumigil ako.

"I met her." I put my hands on my pocket.
"I see..." sagot nito.
"Why don't you go and see her?" Sabi ko.
Hindi ito sumagot.
"Alec's already making moves. Are you fine with that?" I narrowed my eyes.

I sighed. "Lumabas ka nga diyan."
Dahan dahan siyang lumabas.
Ang matangkad, gwapo, at misteryosong taong to ay ang kuya ko.
There's just one problem. Oh, make that two. He's an introvert, and he's kind of an idiot.

"Straighten your back! What are you? an old man?" Sigaw ko.
"Pasensya na."
"Ganyan ba dapat umasta ang Master ng castle na to?" I asked him.
"Then you do it...I didn't want to be the master in the first place." He looked away.

Don't get it wrong. Matalino ang kuya ko. He's accomplished a lot of things that's why he was appointed as the heir.

(Ano ba dapat kong gawin para tumino to?)

I smiled at him. "Kuya, alam mo bang nakaka takam yung dugo niya?"

Nag-iba ang expression ng kuya ko pag tingin niya sakin.
"What did you say...?"
"Her leg got bitten by Alec. It was oozing blood earlier. Good thing I was trained to hide my blood lust." I grinned. (Now, how will you react?)

He pierced me with his sharp stare, pumula ang mata niya.
"If you touch her, I'll-"
"Hahaha...di ka talaga mabiro."
"Huh...?"
"Di ba dapat nag hahanda ka na sa highlight mamaya?" Tanong ko.

Biglang naglaho ang pula sa mata niya.
"Do I have to? It's such a pain....at maraming bisita." sabi niya.
"Do it. Ikaw ang nag throw ng party. It would be disappointing if you don't show yourself." Sabi ko.
"Fine."

"Oh, heto." hinagis ko sa kanya ang maskara niya. "What's a masked ball without a mask?" I smiled.

Ezelle's POV

"Say, Cosette, sino yung kanina?" Tanong ko.
"Oh, that was master Drei. Lord Zero's younger brother." She replied.
"Talaga? kaya pala kilala niya si Alec."
"Masakit parin po ba?" Tanong niya.
Ngumiti ako. "Hindi na, salamat sa pain reliever."

Biglang nag bukas ang pinto. Pumasok sina Alec, Ettiene, at Vaun.

"Nandito ka lang pala." wika ni Alec.
"Ayos ka lang ba?" tanong ni Etienne.
"Ayos lang ako."
"Master Drei carried her here." Cosette cutted in.

Nabigla ang tatlo.
"Drei did?" Tanong ni Vaun.
I nodded. "Napakabait niya."

"Ang totoy na yun? mabait? Don't make me laugh." Alec rolled his eyes.

"You guys don't get along do you?" Ettiene smiled at Alec.
"Tch."
"More importantly, what happened to your leg?" Vaun eyed me.

Tumingin ako kay Alec. He looked away and just whistled.
"Wala to, ayos lang ako." (Geez, why did I cover up for him?)

"VAUUUUUN!!!" A pretty girl ran towards Vaun.
"Eh-" pag lingon ni Vaun, bigla itong niyakap ng babae.
(who's that?)

"Geez, Rue. Slow down." Vaun patted her head.
"Namiss kita eh! Oh-" Tumingin sakin ang babae. "Hello, Ezelle. I'm Rue Valeria Nephilim, Zero's younger sister.Welcome to our home."

Tumayo ako. "N-nice to meet you miss Rue!" (Tatlo silang magkakapatid?)

"Still attached to Vaun, are you Rue?" Ettiene smiled.
"Hihihi, of course I miss you guys too." She hugged Ettiene and Alec.
"Don't hug me, jeez." Alec pushed her away.
"Suplado as always." Rue giggled. "Guys, the masked ball is about to star. Please put on your masks and let us go to the main hall." Sabi niya.
