The people on the ship showed her to nicer accommodation. Even though it was a simple bed, desk and set of drawers that she couldn't fit her weapons in. It was better than being in the other room hooked up to those wires. Or being in the tin container when she spent time with Jane, Darcy and Erik.
She paced up and down, trying to clear her head. She finally found out why shouting made her feel sick. It was because she wasn't in her homeland and the magic’s here on Earth were slowly dying away with the thing that grows everyday called 'Global Warming'. It didn't make any sense to her for she didn't understand any of the technology here, she just missed her home even greater and resorted to wearing her amulet of Talos at all times.
Kronos walked out of her room, seeing that the sky was dark from her window and made her way slowly to the thing they called a 'gym', that didn't make any sense to her either. She was donned in her leather armour, tight and hugging her frame, giving her the sense of security in this confusing world. She walked into the gym and attacked the thing they called the 'punch bag', Steve had shown her it after the interrogation. She proved herself to no one and easily broke the bag full of sand, sending the contents everywhere.
She just collapsed on the floor, legs crossed and homesick, everything just reminded her of home, the views on the bridge through the huge window, just, something, no matter how little, just reminded her of Tamriel.
And Steve Rodgers wasn't helping on bit with him reminding her of Tsun, Talos damn it.
"What are you thinking about?" She heard Loki ask from behind her.
"Home." She replied, pinching the bridge of her nose as she was tired.
"That's a lie." He then said.
"It’s the truth and a lie, I think about many things." She replied, its true, she had been thinking about of other things than just home. Mainly being the Voice.
But she was just so tired.
"Everybody thinks about many things." He then said.
"True, tell me though, what do you think about? Other than world domination?" She then asked, laying on her back, staring at the ceiling.
"You."
"Why?"
"You confuse me." He said as she made fire emmit from her hand.
"How so?" she asked.
"Because of how you call yourself mad and that you're a beast. Why?"
"I call myself mad so that then people don't call me mad, the beast? I'm too tired to be a vampire."
"Why not?"
"Because Molag Bal only wishes for the young and beautiful to be one of his eternal flock. I'm not what I used to be..." she sighed, closing her eyes.
"But you're his champion though."
"Yes, I may be his champion, but the mind of a Daedric Prince is his own not mine, I'm fine with just being a champion anyway."
'But I am just so tired...' She thought to herself, letting a tear fall down the side of her face, wondering her demise was going to on Earth.
"But you wish for something more though don't you?" He then asked, without looking at him she knew he was smiling.
"Nope, but what do you think I wish for?" She asked.
"Domination, respect-"
"Let me stop you there Loki, Domination? No thanks, and I already have respect, I gain respect how its meant to be gained. Earned. Not through fear. And I know what you're going to say next and its Adventure, I've had enough adventures to last me several life times, you're not the first to ask if I want power. I've had men worship the floor I walk on and its boring." she replied. This confused him even more, who would pass up an offer such as that? And to know what he was going to say?
She was a puzzle that just couldn't be solved.
"Why not help me in my quest then? And that boredom will be taken away and crushed." he said kneeling next to her.
"Quest? Wow, you believe yourself an adventurer, but you've never stared death in the face and feel the coldness of deaths loving embrace, if you were a contract I would take it for free for you disgust me, Loki. You really do." she then said.
"Contract? You're an assassin?" he asked.
"The Leader and Listener of the Dark Brotherhood yes, and why? Because we may kill for gold but we kill for change, for the better." She said, standing up and looking at the sand beneath her, and walking out.
She confused him utterly.
She saw past the lies and the tricks.
She made his silver tongue turn to lead.
Her heart was steel and cold.
Unbreakable.
She was brave.
She was a witch with her words.
And yet...
She was so clearly tired of everything
She found the issue common and typical.
She was used to all of this.
Yet... She longed for something.
And he was going to find out.
-------------------
And like any awesome person. Kronos suffers from nightmares of her battles, thought i'd just put that out there.
