(A few months later)
It was a time of peace, and everyone was taking a much-needed break. Of course, Pidge demanded they have a karaoke party, I wonder why.
"y/n, go! I can't wait to hear you sing. Although I have one condition," said Pidge. Of course, at this point, Allura and Pidge knew perfectly well exactly who y/n had a crush on.
"Sure, what?" Asked y/n. Her expression was light and curious but in reality, there was a certain disdain hidden in the back of her mind, knowing that whatever the condition was, she would end up making a fool out of herself.
"You don't know what it is yet and you agreed? Perfect," said Pidge cheerfully, y/n conscience went 'I told you so' in the back of her mind.
"You have to sing a song that relates to how you've been feeling, a love song to be exact. I do think that your certain someone will appreciate it if he ever found out that you sang it for him," continued Allura, giggling mischievously at the end.
"ALLURA!" Shouted y/n, blushing furiously.
"You agreed," singsonged Pidge. She threw a microphone into y/n's hand, and scampered to her seat, knowing perfectly well that, within range, y/n was going to try to kill her.
"A certain someone? Hmm," thought Shiro aloud, he glanced at y/n deviously, then "inconspicuously" looked back at Keith. Which only caused Keith to tilt his head in confusion, as to why everyone was glancing at him.
"Oh, god, even Shiro knows," thought y/n. "Is it really that obvious? Well, this just proves how dense Keith is. I suppose his ego's so big that it's inflated him to the point, of making him miss what's right under his nose, even if it smacked him in the face."
She inwardly giggled, wondering why in the world she was mentally insulting the person she had her eyes set on.
y/n walked onto the "stage" then began to sing the song, "Mercy".
"You've got a hold of me
Don't even know your power
I stand a hundred feet
But I fall when I'm around you
Show me an open door
Then you go and slam it on me
I can't take anymore
I'm saying baby
Please have mercy on me
Take it easy on my heart
Even though you don't mean to hurt me
You keep tearing me apart
Would you please have mercy, mercy on my heart
Would you please have mercy, mercy on my heart~"
Once she finished, she did a mini curtsy, then walked off stage to a round of ear-splitting applause.
"Hey, you did good," said Keith, walking up with a smile.
"Well, I did have to make a living off my voice, so I suppose that explains it," replied y/n, tossing her hair in Keith's face. She pretended to strut away, only for Keith to grab her wrist and spin her around to face him.
"Just accept the compliment," said Keith.
y/n wound her way out of Keith's grip, then skipped out of his reach. Not a moment later she let out a quiet yawn, stretching her arms out in a surprisingly elegant way.
"Oh well guys, I think I'm gonna take a nap," said y/n, she swept her hair behind her shoulder. She walked out to a chorus and bye's, which slowly drowned to silence the closer she got to her room.
Pidge and Allura snickered in the background at the little exchange between the two "Love Birds".
"What?" Asked Keith turning back around to the rest of the paladins+Alteans.
"Nothing," muttered Shiro, shaking his head at the oblivious, confused boy.
"Am I the only one here who acts remotely human?" Keith silently questioned, before walking off to who knows where.
