the students piled into the school grounds and into the building. craig and his friends went to their lockers which were all relatively close to each other and sat on the floor in front of them.
"so, craig, i was wondering if you were having a party? or just a small thing?" token questioned.
"oh, i hadn't really thought about what i was doing..." craig shrugged, he was too busy worrying to think of other things.
"i thought not, i can have a party arranged for you if you wanted, dude," token was incredibly generous to his friends and they always thought they were using his kindness and money, the money more so.
"eh, ill pass i'm not really up for a party."
"lame! you never are!" clyde whined.
tweek chuckled at clyde's pouty face, clyde was know for parties and it was mainly for the free junk he could acquire, like food. craig glanced at tweek and his heart palpitated, shocking him.
after a few minutes of chatter and deciding that it would be a small get together for his birthday, the bell rang. they all went to their lockers and grabbed the necessary equipment for the classes they had. they went their separate ways except for craig and tweek who had an english class together.
they walked through the crowded hall of students to get to their class. once they reached the class they got to their self assigned seats in the room and sat down. they placed their books on the table in front and them.
tweek rested his head on his hand as he spoke to craig, "it's okay tha-that i buy you a gift, right? i mean, i will anyway but just to double check or whatever."
"i don't care either way," craig smiled at tweek, but not to tweek's knowledge as he turned his head at the source of noise of students entering the room.
kyle broflovski walked into the room and say next to tweek.
"hello again, guys," kyle neatly adjusted his books in front of him.
"hey, kyle!" tweek greeted while craig waved.
"are you throwing a party, craig? stan wanted to know," kyle said.
"no, i'm not. why does he want to know?" craig frowned.
"well..." kyle pulled a face. "his mum's been strict on him recently so he probably wouldn't be able to make it to a big party."
craig scoffed, smirking, "lover boy getting fights with his mummy again?"
"not fights-" kyle blushed. "and he isn't my lover, we are just dating."
"your soulmates though?" tweek interjected.
kyle's face turned slightly redder, "maybe so."
tweek had known that for a while before stan had turned seventeen that kyle had a huge crush on him. kyle had confessed to him that he was worried stan's soulmate wouldn't be him and vice versa. he had also known that stan had a huge crush on kyle too and it was so obvious to everyone but them that they were soulmates.
their teacher finally came in and silenced the class before starting the lesson.

it was finally lunch time and tweek waited at the usual table for his friends. his first seen clyde and he waved. clyde sat and quickly looked around them and leant in closer to tweek.
"what did you get craig for his birthday?" clyde whispered.
"oh, we-well i just mad-made him a card and-and-and i got him uhh some science books on um space as well as random space things. he really loves space," tweek smiled to clyde at the thought of craig and how enthusiastically he talks about space.
"oh, cool, dude! he will love that i'm sure! i got him some little outfits for stripe- mainly 'cause i think that's hilarious- and just fifty bucks 'cause i came up blank," clyde sighed. "kevin tried to help me but he doesn't know craig too well. shopping for him is hard."
tweek smiled, "oh, here-here comes token!"
"hey, fellas!" token sat next to clyde and clyde dramatically fell onto token.
"why is craig so haaaard to buy for?" clyde frowned.
token pushed clyde off of him with a laugh, "i bought him a new telescope, his last one broke. this one is better, though. i got him a book with constellations and facts on them."
tweek was relieved he wasn't the only one buying craig books. clyde nudged token who looked up, tweek turned around to see craig approaching them. he sat next to tweek and notice the expressions of his friends.
"what...?" craig looked at his friend group and how they were silent at his arrival. "what were you guys talking about?"
"nothing!" clyde lied. "just school and classes mainly..."
craig squinted at his friend, knowing he was lying, "whatever."
"so, craig, who do you think your soulmate will be?" token smirked at his friend.
tweek was twiddling with his thumbs under the table. craig looked at tweek then back to token.
"how would i know? as far as i know its probably someone in a different country. i might never meet them- oh god what if i never meet them?!"
tweek looked over to his friend who was stressing out. it was unusual to see craig like this, publicly displaying his anxiety. he placed a hand on craig's shoulder to calm him down, knowing what that feels like.
"craig, it's okay, it's unlikely that you won't ever meet your soulmate it would kind of defeat the whole point..." tweek gave craig a sympathetic smile. "just take deep breaths, everything will be alright."
craig looked at tweek and his breathing hitched, he felt ridiculous now about his thoughts and felt like with tweek everything will be fine and nothing will go wrong.
tweek removed his hand from his shoulder and returned his sight to his other friends. craig's shoulder felt cold and he felt a lump in his throat as though he were about to burst out crying. he rested his elbow on the table and placed his head in his hand, sighing.
