I fell for you.
A year and a bit later...
It didn't end well. Lacey and me, because we were never meant to be in the first place. There were screaming and fighting, things were broken. Her heart the most. I never knew she cared so much about the relationship we had, it just never seemed like one.
So I broke it up, midway through the year when I got sick of her bossing me around and then flirting with other guys when I got mad at her. So it wasn't really love and it wasn't really going to last. She still has hope though, I can feel the jealousy linger and my eyes are attached to that one girl.
Hayley Lyonsfield has disappeared, keeping to herself since her brother's death. I've only seen her around three times at the most. A book accompanying her and her thoughts occupying her. Somehow Heath had found out that, she was part of the reason Lacey and I wasn't going to last. I told him everything soon after that, she was all I talked about while we sat around waiting to valet cars at the rich golf club off Hindley's Street.
Yeah, we got the job. Heath was over the moon, jumping up and down. His first job, well not really, we just don't talk about Fast Fred's Burger Shop Corner or Saint Lewis Clothing. He's too embarrassed.
But oh well, we were about to graduate in three weeks, and both of us hoped to venture far away from this town, and all its embarrassments.
But before we get out, before I saw you, before I met you, and before I spoke to you.
I fell for you.
Let me tell you all about it.
