The next day I was hopeful that Jax would be as sweet as he had been the day before. Unfortunately, my hopes were crushed.
"Hey Jax!" I smiled as he and I crossed paths in the halls. I had so much fun yesterday with him.
His chocolate eyes met mine, and he gave me a head nod. The next second, he was knocked back by force as none other than Aaron bumped into him. Oh boy. His face transformed in a matter of seconds to furious. "Watch it or you'll be experiencing first-hand why I was kicked out of my last school. Got it?" Jax spit out.
Aaron didn't look scared. Just amused, which led Jax to get even more angry. "Like you could even beat anyone up?" He smirked.
"Try me." Jax responded, lifting his chin a little bit, waiting for Aaron to throw a punch.
I was horrified as Aaron threw his fist into Jax's face, and blood instantly appeared at the corner of Jax's mouth. Jax didn't take long to hit back. A punch landed straight in Aaron's nose, causing blood to trickle down. Boom, bloody cuts, black eyes, and bruised knuckles. All because someone bumped into someone else. I kind of felt bad for Jax. The poor guy was just trying to defend himself. Aaron, though. Why was he so agitating?
"Stop it." I said. They ignored me or didn't hear me. "Jax, Aaron, stop it. You're acting like children." Aaron looked at me and punched Jax across the side of his face. "STOP!" I yelled, and everyone who had gathered around to watch them fight now stared at me. So did the two fighting. Jax had an angry look in his face, and it was frightening. Nothing like the guy I'd spent yesterday in the rain with. Aaron looked almost happy. Like he'd accomplished something. Jerk.
"I've had enough of this. First of all, Aaron, you are a jerk who just uses his looks to get what he wants, and Jax, you have mood swings more often than a pregnant woman. I am done with this. No more games." And with that, I walked away. I got away fast, so nobody could try to respond. I didn't want to hear it. Now I was the angry one. I stormed into my next class and silently praised God that neither of idiots were going to be joining me this period.
"Whoah, girl. I haven't seen you that mad since.... Well, ever. You go, bestie! That was awesome." Allison cheered as she took a spot next to me.
"I'm sick of it. I guess I just gave into what I've been thinking for a while. It feels kinda good to just let them know what I think about them and be done with it."
"Yeah I get ya. I wonder if either of them is going to try to come talk to you."
"If they do, I don't want to hear it. All those boys seem to do is lie to me."

The week passed without so much as a word from either of them. I guess I at least expected some sort of apology. Oh well. It makes it easier for me not to talk to them, anyways. At least that's what I told myself.
School had just ended and everyone was leaving. My car had broken down so it was in the repair shop. Only a few more days and I'll have Carl back. Yes, people. I named my car Carl. What? It's not like you don't name your cars.
I sat down in the lounge area and checked my phone for messages.
Mom: Hey honey. Sorry, I might be a bit late. I'll text you when I get there ;P
Me: Mkay. See ya!
I sighed. Hey, at least it was Friday. I looked around and none of my friends were still here. I just played games on my phone for a few minutes, and suddenly remembered I had left my math book in the math classroom. It would be fine, but I had math homework so I had to go get it. Getting up, I realized practically everyone had left. I bet the only people that were still here were the staff. I opened the classroom door and grabbed my book. That's when I heard something in the corner. Or rather, someone.
