Chapter 16-recovery

Dans POV

The ride to the hospital seemed never ending..

Throughout the whole ride georgina remained unconscious and the paramedic continued to give me worrying looks.

She wasn't going to make it, I thought to myself...

...

Once we reached the hospital they quickly rushed Georgina to intensive care.

I had to run to keep up with them but I didn't want to leave her side for one moment.

Her body looked so lifeless and I couldn't help but think this was going to be the end...

Soon she was taken into surgery and I had to wait till it was over to see her again.

The whole time in the waiting room I sat there just thinking about what life would be like without her.

I couldn't imagine it, life without Georgina would simply be impossible...

Kyles POV

I couldn't believe someone would want to attack georgina!

What had a lovely girl like her done to deserve this?

I text dan to see how things were going and he explained that Georgina was still in surgery.

I decided to go down to the hospital to keep him company...

"Alright mate?"

I said to dan as I approached him in the waiting room.

His face was ghostly pale and his face was wet from where he had been crying.

"Don't worry about it, she'll be fine dan..trust me, she's a fighter she is"

Dans face lit up slightly and he began to smile.

"I hope so kyle, I just need to see her beautiful face happy and alive again!" he began to sob into his hands.

I have him a big sassy simmons hug to cheer him up.

"Trust me, she'll be just fine" I reassured him

We continued to talk for a while as I tried to keep his mind off of what was going in right now...

Just them a doctor came in the room.

"Mr smith"

"Yes..yeah thats..thats me" dan stuttered

"You'll be pleased to know that the operation went well and the stab wound has now been stitched up"

"That's great! that's wicked!" dan looked overjoyed (no pun intended)

"There's just one problem, she can't fly home in her condition as once let out from hospital she will be put on strict bed rest for one week.."

Dans smile quickly faded...

"Shit, our flight to England is tomorrow" I said

"Dan, we're gona have to leave without her"

"No...no..you guys go.. I'm staying here with her" he began to cry again...

"Are you sure mate? I'm sure they would look after her here"

"But kyle, I..." dan hesitated

"You?"

"I love her with all my heart and I can't bear the fact of leaving her all alone, I'll stay with her here and when she is better we will get some tickets to fly back to london, don't worry ky, we'll be fine. we have each other" dan smiled
