Chapter 8

It was none other than Kim Taehyung.

"Sorry for the sudden visit without notice."

He showed a wide grin, both hands placed on my shoulder, making my mind felt surreal.

My body could not move, it was stiff like I was a frozen ice sculpture. I could not even feel my muscles or hear any of his words coming out from his beautiful lips.

I just stared deeper into his mesmerizing eyes, which had totally brought me into another world. My mind was blurry, my heart ached so much more than before, I could not control my breathing that I felt my lungs could explode in a matter of seconds.

This was it.

The perfect time to confess my real feelings towards him...Too perfect for a timing.

However, my mouth was shut like glue. I could not mutter a single word, it felt that my brain stopped working and the time around me had finally stopped. Without hesitation, my hand went up towards his face and started to stroke his hair to the sides.

He stopped my action as he grabbed my wrist, he then held my chin a little higher which made my blood rushed to my cheeks. I was scared yet I was confused at the same time.

"Ae Yeun-ah... have I ever told you how cute you are everytime you blush?" he stated with his low voice.

I blinked as I was trying to find an answer for that but when I opened my eyes once again, he was really close to my face, really close that made the tips of our noses touched.

"Do you like me that much, Ae Yeun-ah?"

I widened my eyes and sweat started to appear around my forehead. I felt hot even though the room was already air-conditioned. In less than a second, I felt something soft and wet on my lips and my eyes adjusted to what I was seeing at the time. He just- kissed me. My first kiss!

I did not know how to react; my mind was just messed up. However, he held the back of my head and tried to deepen our kiss. I loved the way his lips touched mine, it was really soft and gentle yet a little passionate. I finally shut my eyes and slowly kissed him back.

After we had found our pace on moving our lips in sync, he slowly pulled away and looked deeply into my eyes. I blushed madly as my mind snapped back to reality.

I screamed, "Did you really just kiss me, Kim Taehyung?!"

He shut his ears and his expression showed that his ears was in pain due to my sudden loud scream that was shot directly towards his face.

"Yes! I did! For god's sake, Ae Yeun. I might be deaf if you scream like that again."

We both laughed and literally forgot about the tensed feeling that we experienced before that in a while. He told me some dad jokes that was originated by his friend. Well, he did not tell me his name but I kind of like his friend's sense of humour.

We talked a lot of things that night, I thought it might be awkward after what he did but turned out we became closer.

Are we meant to be with each other?

We forgot that it was in fact past midnight, Taehyung even recommended me to watch 'Hwarang: The Beginning.' We watched it together and I was astounded that Park Hyungsik was in there and he played as king.

The plot of the story was amazing, but we managed to only watch it till' episode two and there I was, already burst into tears. I then looked up at the clock and it was 5:08 am.

I looked at my side and Taehyung was sleeping soundly on my shoulder, he looked really cute and innocent at that state.I scanned every inch of his face and stopped at his lips which quickly reminded me of the kiss that made me start to question myself.

As I was going to whisper out the questions, a sound came out near me; it was his phone. His eyes fluttered open and right away, jolted up which in result his, forehead hit my nose really hard. He answered the call, well... he groaned a little bit trying to endure the pain.

"Ah, yes... mmhm. I'm sorry, sir. I'll be there soon. Don't worry, I'll just drive there. Okay, bye."

He then said to me, "I have to go now... Sorry. I want to spend more time with you but my work... well, I never told you that I am a working man but you know now!"

He showed his huge boxed smile on his face that made me automatically smile back.

His smile then faded suddenly and his eyes widened.
"Ae Yeun-ah!"

I tilted my head in confusion till' I tasted something particular in my mouth.

"Your nose is bleeding, where are the tissues?!"

He stood up and rushed to the kitchen as he searched for tissues while I was just holding my head up, facing the ceiling. He then came back and gently wiped the excessed blood coming out from my nose.

"Sorry... it is my fault that I hit your nose so hard... ㅠㅜ "

I then assured him, "I'll be fine... Go now. You have to go to your workplace and good luck!"

He slowly stood up and bowed. He then bid goodbye as he went out of the house, flashing a forced smile on his face. Something clicked my mind, my body quickly stood up and ran towards the door.

"Taehyung!! since that kiss, what are... we?"

But... I was too late as he already drove off.

A day passed and I was just laying in bed, listening to every BTS song that my friend gave me. I decided to give it a try and heck yeah! All of their songs are amazing, the messages from each song are so relatable and very well potrayed.

I actually wanted to maybe try to like them so I could have this similarity on topics we could talk about, I mean... well obviously, Taehyung and me.

Then, a notification popped up and it was actually a message from Taehyung. I did not hesitate as I was expecting for it to be something good.

Taehyung ♡: Hey there. I wanted to say I am truly sorry for what happened that night. The kiss was- I don't know, it was a stupid move and I actually did not mean that to happen. I hope you'll forgive me and we'll still stay as friends forever, okay? Hope to meet you soon when I am not busy.

Sadly, those words broke my heart into millions of shattered pieces.

"H-He didn't mean to kiss me? So, the kiss didn't mean anything... /sighs/ I feel... played. "

I wanted to cry but my eyes decided not to, I just stared blankly into space and regrets started to pile up inside my mind.

I guess... he maybe has a heart for someone? But, he literally called out my name... or was it just my ears?

My first love that stole my first kiss... Kim Taehyung, why did you even come yesterday?

I then received another few texts from him.

Taehyung ♡: Kang Ae Yeun!

Taehyung ♡: I'm free tomorrow, wanna go out at night? I'll treat you anything. Taehyungie is really sorry... :( Dateu kaja, chingu! (っ´▽')っ

"Okay, I don't understand this man at all. So weird and confusing!" I screamed as I covered my face with my pillow.

Dating a friend. Hmm.. I don't get this at all. But- my heart told me to go and enjoy, even though he doesn't like me that way, I should try to just enjoy the moments I'll have with him. When the time is right, I'll confess my real feelings to him and if he rejected me, I'll just say sayonara to him... Sounds sad but this is reality. I have to try to act mature and think this way through.

Ae Yeun: ㅋㅋ Aish, it's alright. But, really? Anything~? Nah, I'm fine actually. I don't really have any specific wants currently.

Taehyung ♡: Are you trying to say that you want to treat me instead? :D Then, kkol! Okay, gotta go now.. ㅎㅎ

Taehyung ♡: Bye, chingu! Kumowong and saranghaeyong! I'll text you soon.

"Okay, I can't believe he just twisted my words... Dang it!"
