Tom groans and flips over in the familiar cold and hard military bed. He HATED the fact that he had to sleep in such a thing, yet it was all he could afford all his soldiers, and he preferred not to become a communist like SOME other people.
The annoying sound of his alarm starts to honk loudly at him, causing him to let out yet another huge groan, and slam the snooze button on it.
But the alarm kept screaming at him. Tom let's out a soft sigh. "If I'm just gonna give up on battles like this... there is no way we are beating Red Army..." Wait a second...
BEATING RED ARMY HOLY CRAP HE NEEDS TO GET HIS BUTT UP AND TELL HIS SOLDIERS. Tom jumps out of his bed, and springs to his closet. He catches a glimpse of himself in the mirror, and cocks his head. He was still in his suit from last night... you would think either Grant would have forced him to change or he would have done it himself.
Whatever. Tom quickly changed into his regular outfit, and yawns tiredly. He didn't feel hungry, so he skips breakfast and heads directly for his office.
Tom practically dives into his chair, and presses the intercom. "Good morning soldiers!! We are going to have an assembly at nine AM if you miss it, then y'all will have to wake up an hour earlier! Meaning shall be held in the assembly room, it is very important that you come." Tom smiles, and stops pushing the button, letting out a soft sigh and sitting back.
It's a good thing Tom wasn't to drunk last night to forget what that pesky Red Leader had done... gosh you would think he would have just given up by now!!
"Excuse me, sir..." Grant walks in with a guilty frown on his face.
"Yes Grant?" Tom sits up, and stares at the blond.
"U-Umm... I'm sorry for getting so drunk last night... th-thank you for driving us back..." Grant mumbles.
"Wait a moment, YOU were drunk?! I was drunk to!! I didn't drive!!" Tom's eyes go slightly wide. "And you were the only solider I brought with me!! Being my right hand man and all!!" Tom still pretended like he didn't have favorites, though that definitely wasn't true.
"I don't know!! That sounds creepy as heck!! Also do you know who Scarlett is?!" He shows Tom his phone.'Hey there cutie ;)'
'Umm, who is this exactly?'
'Don't remember me from last night? :(''Umm, no?'
'It's me, Scarlett~ ;)'
Tom stares at the phone, tapping his chin in confusion. "Hmm... I'm afraid I don't recall. Try talking with her more, I'm gonna be very busy trying to tell the soldiers about the news... about what happened last night..."
"What ne- oh... right... that... look Blue Leader sir I will train the soldiers a thousand times harder, I cut them to much slack!!"
"Yeah that would be my fault..." Tom sighs. "I always told you to not overwork them, but now we need it more then ever. The Red Army overworks their's to a point where I am not sure how all the soldiers are still alive. Stupid communism."
"Agreed." Grant pats Tom's shoulder. "Am I dismissed?"
"Yes, you are." Tom chuckles softly, and watch him leave.
Tom takes out the papers that have caused this whole mess, and skim through them with a sigh. Tord really was an idiot. Why would he want gas plans in the first place? Probably to hurt him, Tom. There was so much to think about, almost to much for Tom to handle. Well, his meeting started in an hour, might as well start writing a speech...
And with that, Thomas took a piece of lined paper and started to write down some different bullet points that would need to be addressed.About an hour and fifteen minutes later, Tom admires his work with a sigh. He would rather be doing... well, anything but this. Sometimes (more like most the time), Tom wished he had never chosen to create an army. The soul purpose of his army was to shut down Red Army, and it was to much work. Tom first started this army in hopes of shutting Red Army down after hearing a few things on the news about what they have been doing, and after seeing one of his childhood friends on a wanted sign in town.
It's always the weirdest thing to see people you know who are being targeted by the police. At first, Tom shied away from the army, but after hearing about what Red Leader's army did to people, he couldn't take it any longer.
With the help of another person who wanted to end Red Leader's army, Grant, Tom had managed to build up his very own army, a big one too. It was at least three fifths the size of the Red Army.
Tom suddenly shakes his head quickly, seeing he was thirty minutes late for his meeting. He grabs his papers and dashes down the hallway.
Grant stood at the door, waiting for Tom with a check list in hand.
"Grant!! I'm so sorry I'm late I got very side tracked!!" Tom yells out, trying to catch his breaths. "You know for the leader of army I'm in pretty ruff shape!" Tom laughs and slowly catches his breath.
Grant watches with a laugh. "It's alright sir, everyone has made it in here except for Terry, who just so happens to be a bit sick."
Tom nods. "Alright, make sure it doesn't spread through the whole base though."
Grant salutes. "Eye eye captain!!" He chuckles as Tom laughs along.
"You little dweeb," he punches his shoulder and walks inside, Grant trailing behind.
Tom looks at the large mass of people, all bunched up in those small assembly chairs you would normally see at a school.
"I apologize for being late." Tom takes a deep breath. "But there are things to be discussed..."--
