"Pleased to meet you!" Tillie replied pleasantly. "I think you are much nicer to talk to than Malik... He laughs at me sometimes as if I am funny when I am trying to be serious..." she said confidentially. This was soo much fun! And it was a true statement...!
Malik meanwhile leaned forward to glare at Tillie as if to say 'traitor!'
Rimsak merely nodded, "I could see it. Malik's not very bright."
"HELLO!?"
"He's also an ass. I'm not sure if it's hereditary problem, or maybe a trait he learned." Rimsak continued, "I tried to help him but he is stubborn."
"I am stubborn?! She is stubborn!" Malik protested, "You just don't know her! She's putting on this innocent act so you don't kill her. Believe me, if you knew her, you'd want to kill her just as much as I did when I first met her."
"Doubtful." Rimsak said as he looked to Malik, "Besides... I will never want to kill someone as much as I wanted to kill you when I first met you."
"Hey that's unfair. I was pulled out of a pit.... you only saw one fight."
"On the contrary, we had been there all day." Rimsak commented, "Estella was amused watching you fight."
"Oh... all day?" Malik asked, clearly surprised... "Amused? More like impressed."
"Yes... by your ass. Apparently you have a nice rump according to our Empress... that was in fact, the only reason she pulled you out. It might be the only thing that saves you from my axe later as well... she can't exactly look if you're a rotting corpse."
Malik blinked for a moment. "You're joking."
Rimsak turned to him, "No. Not this time. Estella legitimately enjoyed your rump and thighs which apparently were quite easy to see when you jumped to attack your opponents."
"Oh? Were you looking too, Lord Commander?"
"On the contrary, I was watching how you deflected a blow with your gauntlet then swiftly broke a man's nose before removing his head. It was a fluid series of events. Estella informed me of your... assets... though... and had you pulled."
"H'uh... and all this time I thought I was a decent fighter."
"You are a good brute, Malik... with an intersting fighting style but at the end of the day... you are nothing compared to Estella and I."
Malik nodded, "Point taken... and look at that, the keep. Thank the gods... I believe my pride has been severely wounded this day and I desire a nice dark corner to go lick my.... nearly destroyed pride... and ease my suffering."
All of the girls thought this was just about as fun as when Malik couldn't really talk for a while,... maybe more! The older two glanced at eachother, and a little at Malik's backside... discreetly of course, then back at eachother. They didn't get what he was talking about. Talea was feeling a little bolder at this point and asked, "So... I have heard more than once that Estella is such a great fighter... but how or where did she learn?"
Rimsak chuckled, looking down at her, "I taught her a thing or two... see we trained at the same garrison. The master at arms was... indeed a master... he was versatile... all the best fighters are, you see. You can master one weapon and be proficient... but as Malik learned... when you're thrust into a situation that you cannot use your weapon of choice... you must adapt, or die." Rimsak replied as he shrugged. "Estella is great swordswoman, and she is adept with many other types of weaponry as well. Estella has perfected the art of using a longsword and greatsword, as I have perfected the art of the poleaxe and other polearms."
