#8 - Strange Feeling (Pt. II)

I wrapped myself in my clothes as to protect my body's intimity. I couldn't help but feel incredibly relieved about my large sweater concealing my limbs.

As I got out, I spotted Kuroo leaning beside a wall. He was tapping his phone screen and a grin was plastered onto his face as usual, as if it were a post it. I approached him silently and he noticed me, so he put away his phone.

I didn't speak a word as I gave him the empty plastic bag which had contained my clothes before. He made a perplexed face and giggled a bit while humming a playful "Thanks".

Then we silently started walking to the Academy. It was cold as hell and I started trembling and emitting little clouds of vapour as I breathed. I was holding myself from the chills when Kuroo suddenly took his jacket off and put it on my shoulders with a careless attitude.

"Uhm... T-thanks" I muttered.

So cliché.

"No problem. You're just too precious to catch a cold like that" he replied by adding a cute smile. I couldn't tell whether he was serious or simply playing with me.

"What if your bitchy girlfriend smells me in your jacket?" I asked.

"Well, then I'll just use this to make the bitch jealous" he smirked, causing me to roll my eyes and immediately give him his jacket back. I faked an annoyed attitude but I'll tell you, friends, I was internally laughing at the way he called her bitch, even though I knew he was just joking.

"Wait, wait! I was just jok- WHOAAA! LOOK OUT!" as he was talking, I accidentally slipped in a puddle I didn't happen to see in the dark and I was about to fall on my back. It was then that he firmly grabbed me by embracing me from behind.

I felt pure embarrassment pump its way into my veins and I couldn't speak a word. So he broke the silence by saying: "Hmm... You'd better be careful, or else I'll be dumped soon, if I ever save you again".

He was giggling and then he put his jacket on my shoulders again.

Then we arrived at the Academy dorm and parted our ways. As soon as I got into my bedroom, I realised I still had what I could now see it was a jeans jacket.

Tch. He really wears everything he wants everyday without even getting punished for this. I wonder how...

The flow of my thoughts was abruptly interrupted because, as I was about to knock on my Cat Neighbour's door to give him his jacket. I heard a girl's voice - Akane's voice - yelling at him and some noises. I actually couldn't tell whether they were having sex or a serious argument.

The only thing I could do by the moment was just head back to my room with a low, heavy sigh I'd have never imagined to let out for him. I slapped my own forehead immediately after.

Then I got ready to sleep and got into my bed to read a bit. I was now reading a passage which for some reason reminded me of something I had long forgotten, but I couldn't tell why. The main characters, a girl and a boy, were sitting in the school courtyard, and...

My eyelids were getting heavier and heavier, so I placed the book away on the dresser and turned the light off. It was then that my eyes got wide open and my mind fully awake.

I had suddenly realised where the pudding-haired guy and I had met.
