Do you know that feeling when you or somebody you know is in a bad situation but you can't do anything about it? I do.

"What troubles you?" a quiet voice reached my ear as I was staring out of the window during break.

I was thinking about Kuroo having to be with Akane for the sake of Satomi Academy.

"Uh?" I startled, then added in a relieved attitude "Oh, it's you Kenma".

Most likely for the first time since I'd known him, Kenma Kozume was starting a conversation.

WHAAAAT?!

"Yeah, just me" he simply said, not in a sigh, not in disappointment. He was just acting normal, like he was used to that kind of remarks.

"I didn't mean that" I softly added.
"Nah, it's ok", he shrugged.

"Can I ask you something, Kenma?" I asked after a bunch of seconds.
"Sure" he seemed surprised.
"What was T- I mean, Kuroo-senpai like when he played volleyball?" I said while thinking of the toned abs and muscles in his back and thighs. I could swear I was blushing by the look on Kenma's face. His eyes, in fact, suddenly avoided eye contact and this time he looked a bit disappointed in my question.

"He's... charismatic, I suppose. Yeah, he still is" was his answer.
"Still? Do you still play together?"
"Yup. In this university".
"Can I come and watch sometime? I'd like to see you play, too" I smiled.
"Uh, I guess so" he replied, without looking at me.

A tall, black-haired setter tossed the ball in the glimpse of a second when the opponent's palm tried to smash it on the other side of the court. The hit, however, met the hands of Kuroo's wall, who yelled "ONE TOUCH!". His eyes were glowing in sheer satisfaction.
I was astounded, just like the opponents. A ball like that sure takes perfect harmony and timing. It's like two different instruments sounding the exact same medley, voicing the same sounds in the same instant. And yet, Kuroo managed to read it.

All this gave me the idea of a difficult perfection. Hard to preserve, easy to break.

As he turned to look my way after his team scored, he smiled. It was the sweet smile he had given me the morning of some days before, when we sat together at the break of dawn, but it also had the cheeky attitude of his typical cat smirk. Something sweet and painful at the same time stirred in my guts.

He then shouted something like OYA OYA OYA to the other side of the court, where the opponent whose spike he intercepted a moment before. It was the guy with white and black hair I recognized as the male nurse.

Jeeeez, how I wanted to disappear. He had been shouting I was naked in the infirmary, let's not forget that.

I must admit I was also surprised by Kenma's skills. He didn't look as if he had an interest in sports, actually. I was absorbed by his figure for a while, and I must have been staring, because he looked at me, suddenly blushed and looked away.

At the end of the match, Tetsurou came to the bench of his team where I was sitting. I handed him his towel and he started drying the sweat off his face and neck. I gulped as I imagined his sweaty, hot body and then, as he was drinking, I felt the sudden desire to touch him, or to be the water bottle.

"Hey, 'zzup?" he grinned, as he could read my mind "What is your dirty mind thinking?"

"Wha-?! Nothing!" I remarked, crossing my arms.

"Yeah, sure. Why did you come to see us?" he asked then.

"Just... curious. About your volleyball skills, Cap" I stated "Kenma's been amazing, too! Maybe even more than you, Tetsurou".

This caused the pudding-haired, shy guy violently blush again in front of me.

"Th-thanks" he stuttered, hiding then his head under his towel.

"Come" Tetsurou then said, completely out of the blue.
He grabbed my wrist and pulled me straight into the corridor. I could feel Kenma's interrogative glance on my shoulders.

"So?" I asked as we were alone.
He looked very disappointed. He avoided eye contact and his face was all sulky. He looked like a small child in spite of his height and body structure.

"Why are you acting so weird?" I sneered "Your team won the match, right?"
I really wasn't getting the reason behind his behaviour.

"You did it on purpose. You said he was better than me. To make me jealous" he stated, pointing at me with one of his long fingers.

"What? No, I seriously meant that. So you ARE jealous!" I smirked.

"Can't you see I love you?" he abruptly said, after a moment of silence.

Oh my god.
