Run-down neighborhoods, shacks, loss of hope. South Town called the ghetto. My childhood began here. Racing bikes down abandoned driveways. Exploring, our kingdom of the wetlands. Frogs, salamanders, snakes. And the flies.
Farms.
Country-side.
Open fields.
North Corvallis resides here.
I grew up here on this side of town at my family's church.
I discovered who I was then.
I found who I really am now.
Wild animals and domestic animals share the grass-covered hills.
Rabbits, cougars, goffers, raccoons.
Horses - healthy and holding on for life, once domestic cats,
Dogs, pigs, sheep.
Downtown.
Home to shoppes, restaurants, bars.
