Chapter 2

                                            Embers pov:
I had just been sorted into the griffindor house. I guess no one knew I was a malfoy. They were all mumbling about me and I didn't let it show how I was feeling. Inside I was upset. But I couldn't let that show at least the griffindors accepted me.

I got a letter from Rosie. She wants me to meet her at the library. She's probably going to tell me that she doesn't want to hang out with me anymore. Jade too I guess. It's fine  I still have lilac... Who hasn't talked to me since the whole sorting hat thing. Now everyone knows why I wanted to be put into griffindor. Rewrite family name. Rewrite family history. Rewrite family genes.... I thought when I met lilac she would be different my father and mother told me so. "You can rewrite history only if you fix the past" she said. I never knew what it meant till I got the letter. You have been accepted into Hogwarts. My mom and dad had been in slytherin and they hated it being known as the mean bully's who bullied Harry Potter. Could I blame that name no. They blamed themselves. And I came to rewrite that. Steps to that
•find good friends
•get into griffindor
•always use owls
•be top of class in flying (not potions)
I had finished two...one of those so far. Friends are still unknown

I had decided I would go to the library only to know what Rosie wanted. I would send my mom and dad a owl as quick as I could asking about how they dealt with friends in their Hogwart days. I sat there in my bed crying. How could I be called brave when it's my fault that I had been put in griffindor. My fault my friends had abandoned me back at listory Lane. Then Lilac came along. She was different found out my family's name and had accepted it. I got on that train that day with her and had met two other girls Jade and Rosie. Rosie had a bright personality and Jade a smart one.

I laid my head down and thought of my schedule it went
Potions
Herbology
Defence against dark arts
Care for magical creatures
Muggle studies
History of magic

Only one class with Rosie. One class with Jade. The rest with lilac. But none of them are talking to me. I sent Rosie back the owl with a not saying

I will see you there. Lilac still hasn't answered me yet.

Quick and simple. Easy. Lilac had just walked into the room right as I was sending the owl. "What was that?" She asked. " oh that was a letter to Rosie she said she wanted to meet us in the library. I said "oh well I can't I have to meet Jade at the library already. She came to talk to me about it. " personally she added." No owl". I just cringed "well hufflepuff is all the way across Hogwarts so she sent me an owl. She chimed in "also when were you gonna tell me about lifford coming to Hogwarts he said you knew he was here." I had totally forgotten about that. Lifford was lilacs crush. I hadn't accosted him for he was part of the slytherin gang. "I'm sorry. I totally forgot. He had sent me an owl" she looked at me long and hard. "Ok I'm sorry I should have told you about it instead of giving you the silent treatment." We hugged and she told me how they ran into each other in the library, which was hilarious how she described him. I then sent Rosie another note.

Will do. Lilac and me will meet you after herbology. And also I know his name is Oswald.

Oswald was a barn owl. He's only a baby and I helped name him. We named him after her dead fish.

I laid my head down until all the girls came in chanting "griffindor griffindor" they stopped when they noticed lilac fast asleep and I laid my head back down. I had finally learned how to fit in. I went to sleep.
