"You never told me your name." Stated Semprini, snapping Orion out of his calm daze.

"Orion Rencast. I'm a Human-Sinet born on Earth." He replied, observing the room properly for the first time. It was fairly large, and the most notable thing was a pair of steel shelves, stacked with assault rifles and various other firearms. Towards the back of the room stood a massive iron door, which dwarfed everything nearby it. There were other, smaller doors which lead to what seemed to be a kitchen, a bathroom, and a few bedrooms. and every room visible was lit by an individual strip light.

"Sinets are the pseudo-magical race, sort of like advanced humans, right?" She asked, and Orion nodded."

"That explains the telekinesis. I saw you fighting that creature before, you aren't half bad."

"Thanks. So what are you?" He questioned.

"Me? I'm an Emperius, also born on Earth. I've been capable of magic since I was three years old, so I can probably teach you anything you need to know." She replied, cracking her little finger and sending out a small surge of electricity.

"And what about them?" Said Orion, pointing to Alex and Georgia, who remained still and silent.

"Fallen Angels. The race, that is, not the Christian assumption of Fallen Angels. They are incredibly powerful, and as far as we are aware, the only two Fallen Angels to exist." She finished, looking around.

"Sparta, wherever the hell she has gotten to now, is a Lekrie. In effect, she is a Human-Vampire hybrid, but has a strange DNA strand embedded in her. We don't know where she comes from."

"Right. So what is behind that door?" Orion asked curiously, indicating the daunting iron door.

"That's Brutus' bedroom. He's an Armet, and has a tendency to sleep walk. Seeing as he is around eleven foot tall and has a hide thicker than a tank's armour, we figured it'd be a good idea to reinforce his door." She said, laughing slightly. Orion simply stood, bemused.

"You're probably wondering what is going on. We are bounty hunters, working for a group known as The Section. We came to Corota to find our latest target, but it would seem there are more important matters at hand. This building is just temporary headquarters while we are here, our real headquarters are on the planet Anpheus. Alex and Georgia are our commanders, and we are part of the Alpha Squadron, which is the best of the best. You're more than welcome to stay with us. In fact, if you're good, you might just get an invite to the force." She explained.

After another twenty minutes of discussing their species and home planets, Semprini showed Orion to his room for the night. It was cosy, with little more than a bed and a wardrobe. He collapsed gratefully onto the mattress, exhausted. Between being knocked out and dragged to an underground tomb, and being chased by the spirits of thousands of years worth of departed, he had barely been given the chance to breath. Light began to disperse, and Orion felt himself into a deep slumber.

He awoke the next morning to the sound of heavy thudding against the building's wooden floor. Instinctively, Orion launched himself out of bed and grabbed his sword, which had been leaning precariously against the wardrobe. The noise became louder and drew closer, and Orion raised his blade as a large reptilian figure burst through the door. It was at least ten foot tall, and wore a broad smile.

"I'm Brutus Angot, nice to meet you. Breakfast is ready. Nice toothpick, by the way." He said, laughing. Orion chuckled, placing the sword on the bed and hastily dressing, before following Brutus into the main room.

The smell of food was thick in the air, and he readily accepted a plate full of bacon and eggs from Sparta, who seemed to appear out of nowhere. He devoured it in seconds, thanking Semprini and making his way over to inspect the guns which had drawn his eye the other night. He recognised a few of them as standard issue human rifles, but the majority seemed to be of a different descent.

"I prefer the subtle, silent edge of a sword to the rather imposing roar of a gun." Came a adolescent voice from behind. Turning, Orion found himself face to face with Alex.

"That makes two of us then. I'm Orion Rencast." He said, extending a hand which Alex gladly took.

"Alex Mongan. You haven't happened to have seen a small, red haired girl this morning, have you?" He questioned, changing the subject rather abruptly. There was a gentle laugh from the sofa, which Orion recognised to be Semprini's.

"She's in the shower, stop worrying." Semprini called to Alex.

"Well it'd be just like her to try and sort this soul problem by herself, wouldn't it?" He said, prompting Semprini to laugh once more.

"Yeah, she can be like that."
