||Chapter 1||

"Y/N! Can you come here right now?" Mom called out to me. I groaned and crawled out of my bed.

"What is it?" I called back to her while climbing down the stairs.

Oh, wait, silly me! I have forgotten to introduce myself! My name is Y/N M/N Cryptogram! Yeah, the last name is silly. I don't really mind though. You guys can call me Crypto if you'd like! I like mystery, and cause of that, I was named the "Mystery Girl" throughout my whole school. I don't really care much since I kinda like the nickname. I live in h/t. Anyway, where was I? Oh right. My mom.

"What's so important that you had to call me downstairs and pause me from reading my book?" I joked as I put my hands on my hips. Mom responded by rolling her eyes playfully.

"You know that place we visited a few summers ago?" she asked.

"Yeah... Gravity Falls, was it?... Yeah."

"We're moving there! You convinced me," my mom chuckled.

"YESSS!!! WHEN?!" I screamed.

"This Thursday, hon," she replied with a smile plastered on her face. I grinned so widely that I thought my face would break. My eyes sparkled at the thought of seeing my old summer friends again. Today was Tuesday, and I had been enjoying my time by reading again. Until my mom brought up thay we were moving to Gravity Falls!! I've been begging her ever since we left,when I was 12, and when I was 14, my summer friends had moved there to live with their great uncles after their parents died after a car crash. Now, I was 16. I wouldn't have been more glad in my life! I hate it here in h/t (hometown), I get bullied for the blue outlined triangle under my left eye. And the fact that my hair was originally blue-brown... (haha I'm going a little too overboard, right?) well, this lucky girl here, I point at myself, is moving there!

"I'm going to pack my things like... Right NOW!!" I yelled and ran up the room to pack. I pulled out my f/c (fav colour) travel bag/suitcase/whatever and started to look around my room for things to put.

I finally finished packing up and I looked around my room again, just in case I missed out something. A light blue glow caught my eye as I started to walk towards my bedside drawer. I picked up the object. Of course! I'm not going to forget that little blue raincoat keychain which was given by my father years ago. I held it to my heart as I took a breath in, and exhaled calmly. I quickly connected the keychain to the side of my pocket and grabbed my f/c hoodie. I put it on as I went to take my white owl bag (I've seen a black one, and I really like that bag! I just wish I could get it tho...) and put my sketchbooks, my stationary, colour pencils, my favourite book series and a f/c hard cover journal with a raincoat on it, glimmering in the light of my room. I made it not long ago, writing about a few rare animals. But it only filled 10-20 pages of it, so I had plenty more to go! I ran my fingers down its spine.

"Y/N dear, come down for dinner!" Mom called out to me. I replied with a quick "Coming!" and rushed out of my room and down the stairs. I looked up at the clock, which was hanging just above the tv, and it read 8:45pm. I was quite shocked at how long I took to pack, and I still have loads! I walked into the kitchen and sat at the table, waiting for my food. Mom turned to me and smiled as she put the plate with f/f (Fav food) in front of me. I greedily gobbled it down as Mom watches me and chuckles.

I wash my own plate as I see Mom sitting on the couch. I see her eyes closed and her breathing was steady. She must've fallen asleep... I smiled as I put the now fully dried plate back onto the counter, then walked to Mom. The tv was still turned on, and it was playing the credits scene of a movie she must've watched. I switched the tv off and I went back up to her room to get a blanket for her. I picked out her favorite blanket, then went into my room to get a lamp and I quietly went back downstairs with the blanket hanging from one arm, and the lamp being held by the other. I covered her sleeping body with the warm blanket, then I placed the lamp on the coffee table in front of the couch. I switched on the lamp, then switched off all the lights as I headed up the stairs. I glance back at her once more as I smiled and whispered to myself, "Goodnight, Mom."

I headed up to my room, and changed into my pajamas. I slid under the warm covers as my vision was slowly filled with dark specks. I finally close my eyes as I fall into a dreamless sleep.

Well... Okay. I tried to put in specific details in this... I tried xD... Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this! This is by far my fav chappie cause... It's not 1000+ long or something lmao
