Julia's POV
I am about to go on my usual walk around town when I realized I forgot to get my watch from the table. I quickly went back to get it and couldn't help but stare at the faces on it, the boys of One Direction. I have always wanted to meet them. How cool would it be to meet them? Or to be one of their girlfriend's? A fangirl's dream come true.
I open the door and am hit with the sunlight. It feels good to be able to go back outside and into the sunlight again. This winter was quite harsh and very cold.
I'm not exactly sure where I am going, but it is nice to be able to spend time away from the house. Since it is still a little early in the morning, I might stop by the bakery and get a cookie. After all, it isn't that far away from here.
I look in my mini purse, making sure there is money in there, and sure enough, there is. I walk out the door and turn onto the sidewalk. I look to my watch, it must look a little childish, but I can't really leave without it. They are just my idols.
The traffic wasn't so bad today, so the walk wasn't as long as I thought it would be. I stood in the line and one of the cashiers said, "I can take the next order." I walk in front of here and she says, "Hi, what can I get for you today?"
"Can I have a chocolate chip cookie?" I ask her. Then, I pulled the money out of my small purse and handed her the exact amount needed to pay for it. She got a small bag and put one of the cookies in it. "Thank you," I say as I turn around, bumping into someone. "Oh, sorry, I didn't see you there," I say to the person.
"It's alright," she says to me. She continues to walk to a small table, and she too ordered a cookie.
"Is it alright if I sit with you?" I ask her, pointing at the chair across from her. She nodded her head. "I'm Julia by the way."
"Alice," she says. She takes out her cookie and takes a bite of it. I do the same with my cookie, feeling like I am mirroring her moves. She looks at my arm and just looks at it. "I like your watch."
I look at it and say, "Thank you, I bought it a few weeks ago. So, I'm guessing you like One Direction too?"
"Yeah," she says. "I love Liam the most, he is so cute. Have you met them before?"
"Only in my dreams," I reply, taking another bite from my cookie. She nods her head, also taking another bite of her cookie. "I really want to sometime though."
"I know how you feel," she says. We continue eating in silence, until we both finish. "What are you doing today?"
We both get up and walk to the trash can to throw our wrappers away. "I don't know yet. It's just kind of a rest day for me. What about you?"
"I was going to go shopping," she started saying. We walked out of the bakery and she turned to me and said, "Do you want to come with me?"
"Sure," I say, even though I probably don't have enough money with me to buy anything. I was not expecting to go anywhere else but here. Everything is just getting expensive. Oh well, it's just a way to spend my time outside the house and relax. "What stores were you planning to visit?"
"Just to the mall down the road a little," she answered pointing towards it. "Hope you don't mind walking there."
"Sounds good," I said. "I walked here myself." We both walked down the road having some small conversations on the way there. The parking lot was filled with cars everywhere. "I don't ever remember the mall being this crowded and busy," I said, surprised. This was yet another thing I wasn't expecting.
We went in the main entrance, and we had to push and shove our way through the crowd. I tried to look over the crowd of people, but there were just so many here. Once we finally made it past the crowd, I think we found out why there were so many people here. "Oh my gosh," I said, breathless. "Do you see what I see?" I ask her, not trusting my eyes. This is too good to be true. It can't be.
"I think so," she says. "Let's get closer." I was not expecting her to say that, but I wasn't going to miss my chance of seeing them. There were not any people surrounding them at the moment since the security was out. They must be doing a signing that starts in a few minutes or so.
She walks in front of me, and I follow her close behind. We go all around the food court and a much closer spot to them. I opened my purse and pulled out a camera. I looked over and saw Alice doing the same thing. We both giggled, and turned it on at the same time. "Great minds think alike," I say to her.
"No kidding," she says back. We took quite a few pictures and Niall saw us. That blonde looks much hotter in person. He continues to look at us and even starts to walk this way. "He's coming!" Alice squeals, just as excited as I am.
We tried our best to calm down before he actually is near us. He stands in front of us, and he looks really cute in person. And I thought he was cute in pictures and videos. "Hello ladies," he says.
"Hi," we both manage to say, but shyly.
"We are really big fans," I say, still in great disbelief he is standing in front of us. I look over and see Alice nodding her head in agreement.
"Really? Why don't you come and hang with us?" he asks us, pointing towards the area he was just at.
"We'd love to," Alice says immediately, not giving it a thought.
"Can I have a picture with you?" I ask him and he nods his head. I hand my camera over to Alice as I stand next to Niall. He puts his arms around me and I feel like I am going to melt. Once she took a few pictures, she hands it back, and I make sure they are good. "Thank you," I say to him and he winks back at me. We then follow him around to where he was earlier and the other boys of One Direction were here.
When meeting the rest of the boys, I tried my best to stay calm and alive, which I think worked pretty well.
