Chapter 10

Liam's POV~

My eyes filled with tears.  Not only had Sofia probably seen my biggest secret, but...if she spilled it Alice would know, too.

I clutched the letters to my chest.  They weren't just any letters.  They were letters to myself where i expressed my feelings.

"Please" a tear ran down my cheek.  "Go.  Both of you!"

"Liam"  Sofia looked near tears.  "In the letter...you said--"

"GO!" i started to sob.

Alice and Sofia turned and left.  Alice closed the door behind them.

i sunk down to the floor crying.  It wasn't just any secret that was now out, it was THE secret.  MY secret.  The only secret i would've kept from Sofia, and now she knew...

I felt hurt inside me.  i knew it was a secret feeling i had i couldn't help, and i knew it was wrong, but...i couldn't help but having the tiniest, most insignificant crush on Alice.

i looked down on the page and read it:

Dear Diary,

I know this is bad, but i can't help it.  We met two of our biggest fans today, and they're both fun and beautiful.  One stood out to me, though.  Her name is Alice.  She funny and a little shy, but most of all, she has the BIGGEST crush on me.  I'm trying to ignore her because i have Sofia, but it's so hard.  Everytime i speak to Alice my words come out mean.  I think maybe if i can get her to not like me i might lose my crush on her.  Hope it works out.

I looked at the next letter:

Dear Diary,

The more we spend time with them, the more i like Alice.  It's not fair.  i wish i could just un-meet her and forget she existed.  i know it's wrong i have these thoughts, so i must keep them secret from the world-which is hard considering my life.  I'm starting to wish i had her instead of Sofia.  Alice seems more fun, and definetely more attentive.  i still love Sofia, but...

Liam

i wiped the tears from my eyes, which immediately got replaced by more.

What had i done?

Why did i have to wite down my true feelings?

But Alice WAS cute...

...and the tea inncident was acually kind of funny...

i cracked a smile.

Was Alice THAT determined for me to like her?  She must really love me...

I needed to talk with Sofia.

Swiftly, i stood up and looked in the mirror.  Haha, i looked awful.  My face was terribly tear-stained.

i went into the loo, rinsed my face off, and went downstairs. 

Stares hit me.

"Liam..?"  Sofia said quietly.  "We need to talk..."

"I know" i looked down.

She and i went into another room.

"Liam, i saw what you wrote..."

"I'm sorry, i really can't help those feelings" i sighed.

"I know, and truth is..."

i looked at her. "What?"

"Truth is i've had a ting for Harry, too, for a long time, now...."

My eyes grew.  "Really?  Wow..."

"Not that i didn't love you" she looked down.

"Sofia, i love you" i brought her in a hug.  "But i think it's time we went our own ways?"

"Yeah..."

"Still mates, though?" i asked hopeully.

"Of 'course" she smiled.  "Thanks for all the nice memories"

"Yeah, thank you, too" i pulled away.

"Well, i guess that's that" she shrugged.

"Yeah" i nodded.  "I think i need to talk to Alice...if you know what i mean"

"Yeah, go for it"

Alice's POV~

Liam walked in.  I guess Sofia was still in the other room?

"Alice" he said quietly so no one else could hear.  "It's geting dark.  Will you go down to he beach with me?"

My eyes grew.  Was he for real?  Like was Liam Payne acually asking me to go down to the beach with him at night?!

Oh, wait....psh he's mad at me...

i poured tea on his beloved girlfriend goddess blah blah, and now i bet he's going to murder me behind everyone else's back.

"Erm, sure?"  i stood up and we slipped out.

Silence fell between us as we walked a little apart from each other along the beach.

"Alice?"  Liam finally broke the damn silence.

"I know you're mad at me!" i blurted.  "I'm sorry i know it was wrong!"

"Alice" he smiled and stopped walking.  "I'm not mad!"

i stopped and stared at him.  "You're not??"

"No, infact...the reason Sofia was so mad was beccause...well, i um, wrote down some feelings i've had on my mind recently about a certain someone i have a bit of a crush on"

"Who?" i asked genuinely confused.

Great, now i'd have to fight agains another girl. Would the battle ever end, for God's sake?!

"Oh" he smiled as we began walking again.  "A special someone who's funny and a little shy, and super pretty"

"Who?" i repeated.

"Her name is Alice" he grabbed me and put his arms around my waist from behind.

"ME?!" i cried gazing up at him.  "But WHY!?  You always igNORED me!"

"I was trying to get over the feels, but found that quite impossible"

i turned to face him"L-Liam, i don't know what to say!  You know i've always like you!"

He pulled me tightly into his chest.  "I'm sorry if i came across as mean"

"That's alright" i smile hugging him tightly back.  "Sorry if i've been creepy..."

"Not at all" he smiled sweetly at me.
