"See you later, dad!!" My dad was going to be on the show Ellen tonight so he had to leave. Before he walked out the door my mom said, "See you tonight, Adam." "Bye, Behati. See you." I hated having to say goodbye to my dad. Then I thought, Grow up, Annabel. You've done this before. "Mom, what's for dinner?" I asked. "Um, lasagna and patatoes." "UGH! Gross." "Annabel, don't give me attitude, it's only food." "Ok." I went to my room and unlocked my iPhone 5C . I saw a message from my BFF, Dani. Hey, Annabel! Just wanted you to know that I won't be in town this weekend. I'm going to Nashville. Ttyl! xo Dani xo Darn it. I was totally looking forward to going to the mall with her. Then my phone rang. Dad.

"Hi dad! Have they started shooting yet?"
"Yes, honey, but I'm not on yet so I thought I'd call you."
I smiled. "Ok, when's your next concert?"
"In two weeks, May 16."
"Can mom and I go? Can we? Can we?"
"No, honey. I've told you this before. Your mom and I aren't in the budget for tickets. To tell you the truth, our tickets are almost $100.00! We can't afford that."
My smile faded. "Ok. So wh-"
"I'm sorry, hon. I have to go. I'm on."
"But, dad, I- ok bye. I'll see you tonight, or tomorrow."
"Bye."
