Chapter 5: Dad's Not Coming Home

"Annabel. I have another concert tonight. I have to go in 2 hours." Dammit. "Ok." I went to my room. Twitter alerts AGAIN?!

I tweeted for 2 hours. "Honey I have to go!" "Bye, dad." He walked out the door. "Honey close the door. It's cold.'' "Ok." About half an hour later, my phone rang . Dad!!

"Hi dad."

"Hi honey. I might not be coming home tonight. I'll probably be hanging with the band."

"C-um that's ok."

"You sure? You don't sound happy."

"I'm fine. I'll let you go. Bye."

"Bye."

After I talked to my dad, I tweeted,

I lied. I didn't want my dad to have to come home. :( :( After dinner, I went to bed. The words "You don't sound fine" echoed my head. I talked in my sleep. "Dad, I'm fine!" I kept on doing this all night long.

I woke up, screaming. I just had a nightmare.

The Nightmare

I walked to where my dad's band was. A man came in with a gun. He shot my dad. I said, "No!!!" but it was too late. My dad was dead. I screamed.

"Honey, what's wrong?" My mom ran into my room. I started crying. "I had a terrible dream." "Aw." My phone rang. DAD!!!!!!!

"Dad! Dad! Hi!"

"Honey, are you ok?"

"No I'm not!"

Then I told him my dream. He said "Honey, that's still seventy years away! I'm still here."

"Ok. I love you."

"You too."
