The beginning will be a recount of the other night in Brandon's view and the go to Mason's.
Brandon's POV
I park the car at my apartment complex. I look in the back of my car to see my boys asleep. I live on the third floor how am I going to get all of them up with crutches. Oh did I forget to mention the elevator is broken. I guess I have to wake up the boys. I shake them awake.
"Daddy are we home?" Mark asks.
"Yeah buddy but since you guys are really tough can you carry the bags up the stairs?" They nod their heads so fast you think they would get whiplash. I check my watch it is 10:48. God they are never going to go to bed now.
I grab my duffle bag and Ryder's car seat and start to hop up the stairs. God and I thought carrying a pack in Iraq was hard. Who knew training would come in handy while raising 3 little boys. As I hopping up the last five steps I hear a door slam. Don't wake up, don't wake up, don't wake up. Just when I think I am in the clear I hear wailing coming from a certain 4 month old. Great.
"Come on boys lets go to bed," I told them.
We just dump our stuff on the floor I have a 3 bedroom apartment with a small living room and kitchen. I walk into one of my guest bedrooms, while I was picking up the boys I had my friend add another twin bed to the room. I give the boys their pajamas and tell them to get dressed.
I go to my kitchen to heat up a bottle for my little baby. Let me tell you this little boy has one strong set of lungs. I put him down in his crib while I walk to the boys room to tuck them in. When I walk in there, all I see is the boys asleep together on the floor, no pajamas I might add. I stand corrected. I put them each in their own bed and then walk into Ryder's room.
"Come on baby boy let's get you to sleep."
1 hour later
I've tried everything I even resorted to begging a newborn to go to bed. I look down and he stopped crying. What was I doing... that's it I was humming. Ok let's sing.
Silent night, holy night. All is calm all is bright. Round your virgin mother and child. Holy infant so tender and mild sleep in heavenly peace, sleep in heavenly peace.
"Go to sleep buddy daddy's got you." And with those words he finally fell asleep.
I put him in his crib and start walking toward my own room. Oh lord the neighbors. I'll apologize to them tomorrow. I hope they aren't to upset.

Mason's POV
I open up the door to see... one of he biggest men I've ever seen in my life. Oh god why is this huge guy in front of my door. Deep breaths, deep breath.
"Hel-l-0 sir w-hat do ne-ed?" I ask my nervousness showing through the shakiness of my voice.
"Hey my name is Brandon and I just wanted to apologize for the baby yesterday, I didn't know if you heard or not but I wanted to apologize anyway."
"Oh, t-h-at was you no pr-ob-l-em n-ext tim-e ju-st get you-r w-i-fe to qu-ie-t him do-wn." I say trying to be polite.
He mumbles something under his breath and then says, " I don't have a wife."
"Oh I'm s-o-rr-y I di-dn't me-a-n it l-i-ke
t-h-at. Oh shit, oh shit, oh shit. My body now has started to tremble as all the memories start flying around in his mind. What if he beats me up oh god what have I done."Hey, hey I didn't mean it like that no worries, lets start over my name is Brandon what is yours?" He asks trying to calm me down.
"My n-a-me is Ma-so-n," I say in a whisper.
"I'm Brandon, I am 25, and I have three br-Sons. Mark and Thomas are 5 and the baby you heard all last night is Ryder is 4 months old." He says showing pure pride as he says those words.
" Not to be rude but what happened to their mother," but I quickly add, " You don't have to answer if you don't want to" I rush to say surprisingly not stuttering once.
He doesn't answer, so I try to excuse myself from the conversation.
"Bye B-ran-d-on see y-ou la-ter." I say as I close the door.
I did it, I actually had a full conversation with a guy with out breaking down. Ok Mason what do you have to do on this fine Saturday morning. That's right I have to sort through the things for my classroom. I can't help but smile when I think about all the new kids I will teach this year. They are so innocent and cute no matter what happens they can cheer you up.
As I am in the middle of my work I can't help but think of the hunky man living next door to me. He scares me a little, even though he portrays a very calm aura. The fact that he is one of the hottest men I have ever seen, also helps his case. Gosh what am I thinking he has 3 kids he is definitely not gay and probably has a wife or something.
He is also in the Army, god so that means he most likely a homophobe. I hope he doesn't learn about me and beat me up. I look at the time and realize I've been working all day. I get in my pajamas and try fall asleep preparing myself for the night terrors ahead. As I fall asleep I can't keep that silky, smooth, and sexy voice out of my head.
